Hi friends, welcome back to my blog! I’ve been loving going through my stats every month with you all so I’m defintiely making this a thing for the rest of the year! I’m definitely finding it interesting how… comfortable I get with certain genres and age ranges… let’s see how that changes throughout the year (hopefully a lot 😂)
So far 2021 is going really well in terms of the quantity of what I’m reading and I’ve almost hit my Goodreads 100 book goal, but if I’m honest I’m not enjoying what I’m reading and I think I need to go on a romance binge or something because I defintiely need a laugh of a trope pick-me-up to put a smile on my face. Anyone have any romance new release recommendations?
You can find my April reading (and move/tv) wrap up here! I always go through all the books I read throughout the month, as well as asny of the movies or tv shows I watched.

Hi friends, welcome back to my blog! Today I’m bringing you a shorter wrap up thatn I’d like but April ended up being a crzy busy month and I didn’t read anywhere near as much as I was hoping to. I had some uni assessments and some serious insomnia problems so honestly April was a tired blur for me, but I managed to somehow read 9 things throughout the month, so I can still scrounge up a wrap up for you all!
Also, just a quick question/side note. How do you all deal with feeling like you aren’t reading enough? I’ve been dealing with this for years, but over the last couple of months it’s really hit me hard, especially since I literally run a book blog, and I don’t really know how to deal with the pressure that I’m putting on myself. I know that I’m a slow reader with a short attention span but for whatever reason I still expect myself to read 15+ books every month and still get everything else in my life done. So, do you also put these pressures on yourself? And how do you deal with it, if you do?
*Also, another side note. I mentioned my insomnia in the title and I think I’ve mentioned it before on here but, I just want to quickly stress that I don’t want to see any comments about how if I’m an insomniac why don’t I just read when I’m not sleeping? That’s really not how it works with me. I had some serious insomnia flare ups in April to the point where I was going through 48+ hour episodes without any sleep (while also going to uni + doing assessments) and really I was a zombie for most of the month to the point where I couldn’t hold coversations or walk straight most of the time, so yeah… I just wanted to put that out there. ❤
Ooh wow, what to say? It’s been a very long month for me, full of uni work and not much else! I didn’t read much this month and I didn’t watch a lot either! So, you’d think I would’ve been blogging like crazy but sadly I barely posted anything at all, it seems all of my creative energy went out the window in July. I am starting to get my mojo back now though, so I have hope for August and I have officially started planning round 2 of the readathon that I co-host with Destiny! The official dates are October 11 – 19th in your time zone! (@GraphicsAthon)
↣ If you have any thoughts on what you want to see in a readathon, I’d appreciate your input here!
I’ve had a very up and down month in terms of ratings and whether I actually enjoyed what I was reading but, a plus to that is I found a new favourite 5 star read and I already can’t wait to re-read it in the future!! I also, weirdly read mostly blue-green books this month which was wild because one day, I was literally dressed head to toe in blue, next to a stack of blue books while eating a blue cake that I had made (in fairness, I was reading Percy Jackson at the time) and I think that’s honestly very weird but also low-key hilarious. It was unintentional, I swear!
Insomnia Update: I spent the majority of the month going to sleep around 3 in the morning and then waking up a few hours later for class around 8am once Uni started. BUT, thankfully I am now taking Melatonin so I’m starting to get back on track with a sleep schedule and I’m now going to sleep around midnight each night and it’s amazing! I’m still completely exhausted but I do have a lot of sleep to catch up to be fair! 😂💕
Hey guys, welcome back to my blog! Today I’m showing you all the book I read in May
If March felt like the longest month I’ve ever lived through, and April flew by in a few days then May
My goal this month was low-key to hit at least 20 reads and also to read big books and I’d say I well and truly did that as most of the books I read were over 400 pages and also wow I read a lot this month! I think I’m going to try and slow it down next month so I don’t burn myself out but wow, I don’t know what my wrap up will look like next month because I officially will have no Uni assignment to submit so I’ll… just be reading??? An insane concept tbh.
Also, excuse me if thi spost looks a little bit shaky, I’m still getting used to the new WP editor. I’m not liking it at all so it’s taking me a while to get used to it and understand it!
Hey guys, welcome back to my blog! Today I’m coming at you with my on-screen wrap up of all the movies and shows I watched from January to April of this year! I did the same thing last year and really enjoyed it but found I didn’t enjoy just giving you guys my ratings, so this time I’ve included a sentence or two talking about how I felt about what I watched, so let me know if you like this new format and I’ll continue with it!

Hey guys, welcome back to my blog! Today I’m coming at you with my reading wrap up of the first three months of the year, January, February & March! I’ve managed to read 48 things so far this year so I’m pretty chuffed with my reading progress so far! I’ve read some new favourites and some… others, and I’ve read books from new genres and age groups and I’m super excited to see what my next wrap up looks like since this one was so varied!
Hey Guys! Today I’m coming at you with all the movies and tv shows I watched in July, August & September! I got most of these out from the library or I already owned them but during this quarter of the year I also saw a whole bunch of new release movies at the cinema because I ended up levelling up to a VIP at my local cinema and because of that I get my movie tickets a whole lot cheaper.
So, I don’t want you guys to think that I’m mega rich or that I don’t know how privileged I am to be able to see all these films. I know that I watch a lot of movies and I’m okay with that, but at the same time I only really spend my money on food at Uni or movie tickets these days, since my reading life has gone out the window!

So, without further ado, these are all the movies and tv I watched in July, August and September!
Hey guys, today I’m coming at you with a pretty massive reading wrap up full of beautiful book covers, pie charts and many many star ratings. In December last year I stopped writing my monthly reading wrap ups and so I figured I would still like you guys to know what I’ve been reading and other than my occasional WWW Wednesday posts I figure this is the best way to let you guys know about what I’ve been reading this year.
I started out the month pretty strong with Zenith – a new release co-written by two women about a badass team of women. You can read my review here.
I then moved onto Truly Devious and Batman: Nightwalker – both written by women.
And then I fell off the wagon, but I don’t feel bad about it because I mostly read books by women anyway, so reading 3 books in a row by men was a bit of a fluke for me.
I then ended the month with Queens of Geek, The Chamber of Secrets and Jane Eyre, which I only started 2 days ago and somehow I am almost finished it.
Did I watch anything directed by or about women? Lol, so guess who rarely watches movies unless she’s at the cinema. I honestly had to make an effort to watch any kind of media this month. Is that weird? And all my effort got me was 4 episodes into the Netflix show, Glow (which I really enjoyed). And that’s pretty much it unless you want to be that person who argues that Fifty Shades Freed is an empowering film for women.
I really wanted to watch some other media like Shrek, Belle or Persepolis but, I am really not great at watching tv or movies unless I am properly in the mood to stare at a screen for a few hours and give myself a headache.
DID YOU PARTICIPATE IN FEMMEUARY OF SOMETHING LIKE IT THIS MONTH? WHAT MEDIA DID YOU CONSUME IN FEBRUARY?
Hey guys, today I’m coming at you with a new Book Chat! I haven’t done one of these in many moons but I wanted to discuss this with you guys. Today I wanted to talk to you guys about monthly reading wrap ups!
I have been doing monthly reading wrap ups since I started my blog, early last year and for a while this year I was even doing monthly favourites; talking about movies and blogging favourites.
Lately I’ve been contemplating stopping writing my wrap up posts. But, why?
They take up a lot of time.
They are my least read posts
I don’t enjoy reading wrap ups, so why do I write them?
They’re not a fun or engaging type of post.
SO, WHAT SHOULD I DO?
So, if I end up quitting my wrap ups, what should I do? I would still like a way to tell you guys about the books that I’m reading. I was thinking about doing wrap ups every 5 -6 books that I read, like a lot of Booktubers have started to do.
Though I’m not really all that fond of the set out for those posts, so I really want to try and make a different sort of wrap up post.
Do you guys have any idea for how I could write my wrap ups in a more interesting setting? I want to make my wrap ups more fun to write and more fun for you guys t read?
Do you write reading wrap ups? How could I c=imporove my wrap ups for you guys?
