MY OCTOBER TBR | I’m going Christmas crazy! ๐ŸŽ…๐ŸŽ„

Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog! Today I’m showing you all my tbr for this coming month! In September I hit a bit of a snag and got into a reading slump but I’m on my way out of it now and excited to get reading. I’m very much trying to distract myself with the thought that Christmas is coming soon so yes, I do know we haven’t had Halloween yet but we don’t actually celebrate that in Australia, so I’m moving right on to the December festivities! Don’t be suprised if there are a lot of Xmas books and movies in my wrap up!

Also, just a reminder that The Hoemance Book Club is reading A Pizza My Heart this month and I can’t wait to read it with you all! We had an absolute blast reading The Heart Principle last month!

I also wanted to mention that since I donโ€™t do book recommendation posts quite as much on my blog anymore I have started doing them over on the Hoemance Book Club instagram account and I have some really cool posts planned for over there! You can also find us here on Twitter.

MY SEPTEMBER TBR

Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog! Today I’m showing you all my tbr for September! In August I tried out a tbr wheel and loved it but this month I’m just focusing on reading graphic novels and reading the things I’m really excited for. I’ll be doing a lot of mood reading this month!

September is also the first month when we’re kickstarting the Hoemance Book Club with The Heart Principle and I cannot wait to read it with you all!

I also wanted to mention that since I donโ€™t do book recommendation posts quite as much on my blog anymore I have started doing them over on the Hoemance Book Club instagram account and I have some really cool posts planned for over there! You can also find us here on Twitter.

SECOND HALF OF 2021 TBR

Hey everyone, welcome back to my blog! Today I’m in the mood to talk books so I’m going to go through the top 10 books on my tbr for the rest of 2021 since somehow August is almost over? Also, I’m listening to the Guardians of the Galaxy in vol 1 soundtrack so it’s put me in a really really happy mood. If you’re listening to anything right now, let me know in the comments so I can add it to my Spotify playlist.

MY AUGUST TBR // Using a tbr wheel for the first time!

Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog! Today I’m coming to you with my August tbr, a little bit late, but better late than never, I guess? This month I’m trying something new and using a tbr wheel with a whole bunch of prompts! I’ve never done one of these before but I wanted to change things up and hopefully make my tbr more exciting and randomised!

You can find my tbr wheel here if you also want to give it a go!

July tbr | THE OLYMPIC GAMES READATHON + TRYING TO READ 31 BOOKS IN 31 DAYS ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Hi everyone, welcome to my blog! Today I’m bringing you my July tbr and this month I am getting AMBITIOUS! Last month I participated in and hosted the Graphicsathon which got me into a really positive and motivated reading mood so now all I want to do is read! So, I’m challenging myself in July to read a book everyday and to also participate in the Olympic Games readathon which is based around the Percy Jackson series (which you don’t have to have read to participate in the readathon!)

*If youโ€™re interested to know my thoughts on a particular book , please do tell me because that will definitely give me extra motivation to pick it up!

ALL THE BOOKS ON MY JUNE TBR // Happy Pride! ๐ŸŒˆ๐ŸŒˆ๐ŸŒˆ

Hi everyone, welcome to my blog! Today I’m bringing you my June tbr and it’s FULL of queer new releases and some fun backlist book that I’ve been meaning to get to for ages! I read A LOT of books in May so I’m hoping to really keep that momentum going for Pride and to also continue my amazing reading streak with the Graphicsathon later this month! I’m not going to lie, I’ve already read two books this month and I’m currently stuck into my third, but it’s only day 2 of the month so I’m trying not to get too far ahead of myself and I’m desperately trying not to get too cocky because then I’ll immediately get into a reading slump! Let me know if there are any books on my tbr that you’re also planning on picking up or if there are any I should avoid!

*If youโ€™re interested to know my thoughts on a particular book , please do still tell me because that will definitely give me extra motivation to pick it up!

MAY TBR | ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿคž Classics and 2021 Releases! (will i finally rate something above 2.5 stars?)

Hi friends, welcome to my blog! So, March and April were a bit messy and I didn’t read many books that I rated above 2.5 stars but it’s a new month and I have faith that I’m going to read some truly fantastic books! I have a few buddy reads lined up with Rebecca that I’m really excited for and I also have some older titles that I’ve been meaning to pick up for YEARS so I have my fingers crossed that I’ll enjoy them!

MY APRIL TBR // The month where I WILL rate something higher than 2 stars

Hi friends, welcome back to my blog! 2021 so far has been completely crazy and very rocky in terms of reading, especially now that I’m back at uni. March was a pretty good reading month in terms of pages and quanitity but, most of them were 2 star reads so overall it was a bit of a mess and aletdown BUT I have higher hopes for April!

Fingers crossed I get to at least some of the books on my tbr, and that I rate them higher than 2 stars!

MY MARCH TBR + THE BOOKS ON MY RADAR (+ The Backlist Readathon)

Hi friends, welcome back to my blog! In January I read 44 books and in February I read 29 so you could say that I’ve been reading intensely high above my usual rate per month so far in 2021. But, for March I’m going back to uni as well as working so I’ll be busy almost every day. So yeah, I think it’s safe to say that my days of reading and finishing a book every day are over. It was fun while it lasted but now I’m going to focus on bigger books and just mood reading whatever’s on my tbr from the library

I’m actually really excited for March because I’m hoping that because of my long bus trips to school I’ll be able to listen to some longer books and maybe even read some 2021 releases since I know I’ve been missing out on some great new releases lately.

All in all, March is about chilling out and reading whatever I’m in the mood for, whether it’s a quick novella or a 900-page book!

FEBRUARY TBR โ‡€ Attempting 28 in 28 ๐Ÿ“š

In January I read a riduclous amount of books so guess who’s trying to make lightining strike twice! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ™ˆ I have to go back to Uni in March so I’m trying to fit in as much reading as I can before I am forced to really slow down and focus on other things. I will be going back to working two jobs this month so I have literally no idea how reading a book every day will go for me but I’m hoping I can catch up on the weekends.

Also, a fun update for my reading throughout this year. My tbrs have always been more of a guide for my reading and a show of the mood I’m in at the beginning of the month, but I’ve decided this year that I’m going stop forcing myself to read off my tbr if I’m not in the mood for the books. 2021 is about getting through out and being realistic. 2021 is the year of the mood read.
*If you’re interested to know my thoughts on a particular book though, please do still tell me because that will definitely give me extra motivation to pick it up!
