What If…? Season 1 (2021) Spoiler Review & Discussion | The MCU continues! πŸ€―🌟❀

Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog! I’ve been really loving watching and reviewing the Disney+ MCU tv shows this year so this is my latest review since What If…? just finished a few days ago! I really enjoyed this one (though not as much as I expected to) so it has me very excited for season 2!

This is the part of my review where I remind everyone that all the thoughts and opinions in this blog post are just that, thoughts and opinions. No hate just because you might disagree! I’d love to know why in the comments (as long as you can be nice about it!)

You can find my reviews for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier here and Loki Season 1 here.

Let me know in the comments what you thought of the show and I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the points I talked about! And let me know if you want to see more posts like this in the future!

HOW TO WATCH THE MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE (TV SHOWS INCLUDED) | Release Order vs Chronological Order | (Updated Sept 2021)

Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog! We’re currently at the start of phase four of the MCU and the movies are starting to be released in cinemas again which is so exciting! So, I thought, since my Riordan-Verse Reading Order post was so popular, I’d make a watching order post for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), this will also include the tv shows and at the end I run through the non-MCU tv shows too (ABC, Netflix).

I go through the publication order (phases), chronological order, individual series and tv shows all in this post. Let me know if I’ve forgotten anything!

I will also update this regularly as more content comes out!

LOKI SEASON ONE (2021) SPOILER THOUGHTS & FULL SEASON REVIEW | far from glorious…

Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog! A few months ago I reviewed The Falcon and The Winter Soldier here on my blog and really enjoyed discussing the show with you all, so I figured I’d do the same with Loki… the difference being that I enjoyed TFATWS and… I didn’t like Loki. So, be prepared, this isn’t a completely positive review (thoguh it’s not completely negative either!)

This is the part of my review where I remind everyone that all the thoughts and opinions in this blog post are just that, thoughts and opinions. No hate just because you might disagree and honestly, kudos to you if you loved this show! I’d love to know why in the comments (as long as you can be nice about it!)

THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER *SPOILER* THOUGHTS // marvel finally perfected queerbaiting… and now DISNEY is teaching US about racism… lol okay (but honestly it was good tho)

Hi friends, welcome back to my blog! I think that for the rest of the year I’m going to try out a new reviewing format for screen reviews and try episode breakdown reviews for some shows and I’m kicking it off with The Falcon and The Winter Soldier which just aired it’s finale on Disney+, so let me know if you’d like to see more of these in the future!

Overall, I did really enjoy the show which shocked the hell out of me as I wasn’t going to watch it originally, but I absolutely fell in love with Anthony Mackie (Sam Wilson) and Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes) and honestly the entire rest of the cast too and I can’t wait to see them again in the future of the MCU!

Be prepared, this is a heavy show that deals with a lot of different topics and themes, and on top that a lot of choices were made my the writers so I have THOUGHTS, a lot of thoughts. This really would be easier in video format but I only run my blog, so you just get a long-form blog post where I go into each episode and a couple of things that stood out to me for each. Grab a snack and a drink and enjoy!

Let me know in the comments what you thought of the show and I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the points I talked about! And let me know if you want to see more posts like this in the future!

THE PLOT

Plot-wise this was a really fantastic movie. It didn’t have a massive plot, because obviously we needed to get to know the characters more in this film because we haven’t met a lot of them on the Β big screen before.

I loved how while the plot with The Vulture was meaningful to Peter’s storyline and really helped non-comic readers dive into the MCU even more than in previous films. With this movie I feel like not only did we really get to know Peter and how he thinks but we also got to understand how it feels to not be a super and just live a normal life.

THE CHARACTERS

-I HATE NED, FIGHT ME.

-THE VULTURE IS AMAZING. You guys don’t actually know this about me but I am totally that comic nerd that tries to guess the villains before the film information comes out and I actually guessed The Vulture, not gonna lie guys I was super proud of myself.

-Tom Holland’s Spidey is totally my favourite. I think he’s definitely the closest to the comics and as a comic reader I really appreciate it! Also I will definitely be following Tom Holland’s career because he seems awesome (he took his dog with him on the pres tour!) and this movie totally sold me on him as an actor.

-I definitely think that Zendaya’s character, Michelle was hyped up too much for this film, I mean I totally get it, she’s Zendaya. But for the amount of press she got compared to some of the other cast members, she really wasn’t in the movie for all that long. That being said, Michelle is amazing and I cannot wait to see more of her in the next film, especially because we barely not anything about her so far.

MY THOUGHTS

-The last Spider-Man reboot was only 2012 and yet Spider-Man: Homecoming felt -completely fresh.

-I loved how they incorporated the Spider-Man theme into the start Marvel cred, it was beautiful, I won’t lie to you guys, I shed a tear.

-PEPPER POTTS IS BACK. I don’t know if you can tell but I am excited about this, more so than I ever would have though I would be. I love Pepper in the comics, Paltrow was never my first choice to play her but damn am I glad she’s back.

-Happy Friggin’ Hogan. I love this man, he’s had the ring in his pocket since 2008 and he just wants Tony to appreciate him, can this man get any softer? I love him, and I really hope he’s in the next film, again, I didn’t realise how much I missed him until he came back.

-Speaking of Tony, the guy is officially a terrible mentor but he’s sort of not a total disaster at it? I really enjoyed his parts in the movie because we really got to see how much work he puts in behind the scenes, with the later movies I feel like we haven’t really seen that in him.

reviewquickoverview

  • I really enjoyed all the little easter eggs
  • Pepper and Happy give me life
  • The Vulture is an amazing villain
  • Ned needs to leave, didn’t like him in the comics, don’t like him in the film.

reviewwillicontinue

  • YES OH MY GOD, DUMB QUESTION PAST ME
  • I can’t wait to start really following Tom Holland’s career, he has a really fun personality and I’ve enjoyed the movies I’ve seen him in so far, and I think he’s going pretty well so far.
  • We finally got a Spidey movie with The Vulture so I’m excited to see which other villains we get to see in the future.
