Hey everyone, welcome back to my blog! All of this year I’ve been doing a deep-dive into the Harry Potter, talkign about the general wizarding world and some of my favourite theories that I’ve discovered along the way! I have genuinely loved doing this series on my blog and sharing it with you, it’s sparked some amazing discussions that I’ve really loved! So, in the future I’m thinking I might even do similar deep dives for other series!

However, all that being said, as much fun as this has been and as much as I love the hP series for kicking off my love for reading on my own as a child, we do need to mention she who must not be named because I don’t condone her actions or beliefs. I do not stand with J K Rowling or her beliefs and I am so so sorry to everyone she has hurt and contonues to hurt. I started this series with the entent to discuss one of my childhood favourite series but, I no longer wish to promote the series on my blog so this series will be the end of my focus on the Harry Potter series on my blog.

Hey guys, welcome back to my blog! Today I’m coming at you with a blog post I’ve been meaning to write for years but have been putting off simply because I just don’t want to write it! Last year I intended to write a whole series about different aspects of the Potterverse but found that as much as I enjoy Harry Poter as a series of books, I actually don’t like talking about it with other people because it’s so exhausting. I NEED AN EARLY HOGWARTS PREQUEL (ROWLING, PLEASE FEED MY FANDOM NEEDS) // BOOK CHATS!

Hey Guys! Today is a day… If you’ve been following my blog lately then you know I’ve been struggling a bit with life and school and family in general but that I’m trying to push through (you can read more here). So, because life is sucky right now, I thought I would try and get my mood up by talking about one of my favourite topics – Harry Potter, or more specifically why I would kill for some early Hogwarts era prequels (not Fantastic Beasts).

First of all, let me introduce you to my absolute favourite YouTube video of all time. You can find it here and I urge you to watch it before you finish reading this blog post. Anyway, now that you’ve me the SuperCarlinBrothers and your life has been completed (you’re welcome), you know all about one of my favourite theories of all time! ANd now I can finally start this post!

I know that we all want to read about The Marauders (which I have talked about here & here) but let’s go back a little (a lot) further and think about how amazing it would be to read about The founders of Hogwarts and how Hogwarts was built. Following the video, if you watched it, wouldn’t it also be fantastic to also learn about the origin or objects like The Pensive, The Veil and The Mirror???

If it’s true that The Ministry was built around The Veil isn’t that kind of amazing?? Wouldn’t it be amazing to learn about the origins of these objects or even just Hogwarts in itself? Even if you don’t care about the theory, I still think learning about how Hogwarts came about and getting to know the Sorting Hat and the founders would be really cool! And, it would also give us some really cool insight into how Hogwarts and the houses have evolved from the very beginning to the Harry Potter Hogwarts years!

UPDATE: Okay, so don’t @ me because I know this is bad timing. J. K. Rowling is being a dick, but I still want to be able to think about the Harry Potter series positively, otherwise, my whole childhood will go up in flames.

Hey guys, today I’m coming at you with a bit or a more chill type of post. Today all I want to do is talk about some of my favourite Harry Potter characters. I have a top 3 but today just for shits and gigs I’m going to hurt my brain and fit the Potterverse characters into a list of 5 people.

NUMERO UNO, O GREAT ONE WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO YOUR FRANCHISE?

^ I mean come on, look at this guy!

Yeah, fight me. I love this guy – he made the first film for me.

He’s fantastically (haha, I crack myself up) kind and he really cares about his animals, something I can’t help but relate to. I feel like this video (I really recommend watching it) also really made me love him more, Newt Scamander is one of the few characters I can think of that doesn’t display the typical masculine crazy buff form that men usually take on, also, he has feelings and that makes him an immediate A++.

NUMERO DOS, O GREAT ONE ALL YOU WANTED WAS A DRAGON

^Before Newt Scamander, there was… Hagrid.

Until Newt Scamander’s franchise came around my fave was always Hagrid.

Hagrid, aside from Mrs Weasley, is basically the one who raises Harry. He’s always there for him and can you guess, HE ALSO LOVES ANIMALS I GUESS I HAVE A FAVES TYPE.

I mean give me a break. Every time he turns up in the books I just start smiling. All he does is talk about his love for Quidditch and I can’t help but admire his love for the sport. I mean, come on, you can’t just cancel Quidditch!

04 THIS GUY, HE COULD’VE BEEN THE ONE… THE CHOSEN ONE

Of all the characters I relate most to Neville (just call me Nermione, because my other half is stuck in a book). I mean, he is most known for his awesome character development, He doesn’t like violence, he loves his friends but, he will fight you.

Luna Lovegood is honest and crazy goals. I mean this chick is just the forking loveliest. She’s completely genuine and just such a good friend. I mean, she has a freaking mural of her friends on her ceiling, who does that???

I think there’s a theme with all my faves. They’re all nice people and they’re all genuine. I just love it, you just know who they are without even getting to know them all that well. That may sound shallow, but I don’t mean for it to sound that way (I would obviously love to be friends with all these people), I just really appreciate that they don’t have hidden motives or secrets – they’re just living their best lives and being nice people.

Hey guys, today I’m coming at you with a post I wouldn’t normally write but I have recently felt inspired so I figured why not give it a go? Today I’m talking to you guys all about the prequels I want to read!

A PEVERELL BROTHERS DEATHLY HALLOWS PREQUEL

Because which Harry Potter fan doesn’t really want to read this? I would honestly love to see a whole film just about the creation of the hallows and just to see how Death follows them around and if that would be the road Rowling goes down. I mean, not everyone believes this is how it all went down, and honestly if she just made a book of short stories about the brothers on Pottermore I would love it. I JUST WANT TO KNOW ALL THE THINGS

MRS WHO, MRS WHICH, MRS WHATSIT

I know, I can’t have this from the original author but, like, if V E Schwab or Stephanie Garber wants to randomly write a story about these three wonderful ladies I would be totally down with it. I’ve only read book 1 but these ladies are super sketchy and I love them so PREQUEL PLEASE

QUEUE THE CLICHE PREQUEL IDEA: THE MARAUDERS

Yep, eventually, this will happen guys. Okay, we know what good Ol’ J. K. is like, she just can’t stop with the Potterverse – give it a couple of years and we’ll have a prequel in the works and let’s be real, probably a movie deal too.

I want this, though I feel, not as much as everyone else. I want to know more about how the Marauders made the map and how the hell they all managed to graduate. I want to learn about what Harry’s parents were like in their prime (and only) time. I want to know how Lily felt when she finally gave in and said yes to James. I want confirmation that Sirius and Remus were more than friends (though it’ll never happen because Rowling only ever makes her characters gay affter she kills them – and they would be alive in this series/book).

I JUST WANT TO KNOW ALL THE THINGS

What was James’ first Quidditch practice like? What did they eat for breakfast? What were their favourite classes? I HAVE TOO MANY QUESTIONS
