Graphicsathon Round 6 Announcement (dates, prompts + my tbr)

Hi everyone, welcome or welcome back to my blog if you’re new! I’ve been co-hosting the Graphicsathon since 2020 and we’re officially up to round 6 now! Last round we read for an entire month but we’re officially past the halfway mark of the year now so we thought we’d make it short and sweet with one week of catching up on our goodreads goals and getting to the graphics we told ourselves we’d read in the first half of the year!

So, what counts as a graphic?

Anything with images! Comics, graphics novels, manga, picture books. If it uses pictures/images as a main storytelling device, it counts!

MY GRAPHICSATHON ROUND 4 TBR (JUNE 21ST-27TH) πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog! I’m just ducking in here quickly to go through my Graphicsathon tbr and all the prompts for the readathon for anyone who missed the announcement earlier this month! I’m super excited about this round because I’ve finally manage to set it at a time where I don’t have assessments due so now I can read as much as I want without having to worry about other things!

You can find the StoryGraph reading challenge for this specifc round here. It’s a lot of fun seeing what everyone is adding to each prompt and I can’t wait to go through it after the readathon to see what everyone read! The google doc for this round should also be done in the next day or two so that will be linked on the Twitter!

Graphicsathon Round 4 Announcement!

Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog! Today I’m just doing a short but informative post to announce round four of the Graphicsathon! I’ve been running this readathon for a while now and I’ve seriously been loving reading graphics with you all so I figured why not keep it going! And, this round we even have some fantastic new hosts AND we’re hosting sprints for the first time ever! (details at the end of this post)

So, what is Graphicsathon? It’s a readathon dedicated to anything told in graphic (aka. anything where the main storytelling devices is illustrations) so comics, manga and graphic novels all count! We’re also pretty calm about the rules so you can read web comics or even listen to them on audiobook if that’s a mode available to you (I know a lot of comics and graphic novels like Nimona or Ms Marvel are available via audio), it’s all about reading graphics!

I’ll have my tbr coming soon so you can look forward to that! What will you be reading for round four?

Graphicsathon Round 3 ⇀ My tbr πŸ“šπŸ’•βœ¨

Hi friends, welcome back to my blog! Today I’m bringing you my official blog announcement for the third round of the Graphicsathon along with my tbr pile! The readathon will be taking place during January 16 to 19 00:01 AM your time and I already can’t wait to see your tbrs!

Also, a fun tid bit, for those of you who stuggle with the constraints of a readathon, we now have a Graphicsathon reading challenge over on the Storygraph site, for anyone interested!

Me: This is a shorter, more chill readathon, I’m going to relax with a small tbr
Also me: 12 books in 4 days sounds doable.

My GraphicsAthon tbr πŸ’•πŸ“šβœ¨πŸ’¬ | 35 books… 9 days… I’m fine. It’s fine.

It’s that time of year folks! Uni is just about finished for the term (until I go back at the end of the month…) so you know what that means! It’s time to read as much as humanly possible in the short time frame made available to me by the Higher Education Overlords!

And if you have no idea what I’m talking about – Destiny, Rebecca and I have brought back the GraphicsAthon for a second round and to say that I’m excited would be an understatement! I tried to really branch out with some of my tbr choices for this round, but in doing so I may have doomed myself because I officially have 36 reads in my tbr stack sitting on my desk… whoops?

You can find my announcement post for the readathon here, and you can follow the official Twitter for the readathon here.
