I haven’t done one of these on my blog in months since my massive 2018 Book Haul but this year I wanted to try my hand at hauls, while also including the books and movies I’m getting out from the library because I know I love reading library hauls! I’m also including the movies I’m buying because last year I bought a silly amount of dvds and I’d really like to document what I’ve been buying and when!

Okay, so I know this looks bad. And, that’s because it is. 2018 was a ridiculous year for book buying, though I do want to stress that most of these books were either gifts for birthdays or Christmas or they were thrift store buys. Otherwise, I got them on sales or from deals, I think I bought maybe one book full price and that was just because I couldn’t find it cheaper at the time and I was really excited about it (hint: it was Circe).
I know that this is a big haul, and I will be the first person to admit that it’s pretty ridiculous. But, I do want to stress that a bunch of these I had already read before this year or I read throughout the year. If I unhauled any of these books that’s just because I got them from a thrift store and just put them on my mum’s bookshelf because I think she might enjoy it more than me.

I have actually started this one. I’m maybe 20ish pages in and so far it’s pretty much the same. Though I can tell this one is going to be a tad more fast paced and that there’s going to be some epic character development, which I’m really excited for!
I think so far I’m going to have to take the book slowly because I’m only halfway through chapter 2 and I’ve already had to put the book down because of headaches.
I am so excited about this book but holy cr*p it’s so long! It’s almost 500 pages long and it’s meant to be sort of like a horror set in the ocean and honestly, that sounds fantastic. Especially, because it’s written by Seanan Mcguire (she uses her pen name for this one).
I have no interest in westerns. at. all.
But, everyone in my Screen Analysis class is snotty and seems to be obsessed with westerns so I’m feeling peer pressured by evil people.
So, I figured I’d go with a book set in the same genre published by the same imprint responsible for Stalking Jack The Ripper (pls read it I LOVE).
If you guys know any good westerns (films, tv) that you could recommend, I’d really appreciate it!
I tried to listen to the audiobook for this a few years ago and because of the footnotes, it made absolutely zero sense. So, I’m really excited to read this in physical form especially since everyone seems to love it so much. If you want to be convinced to read this book just go watch a Piera Forde video.

I read volume 1 of this a few months ago and really loved it so I immediately put it on hold and it still hasn’t come to my library yet! I think there’s only two graphic novels in this series but I really love the artwork (and characters, duh) so for once, I don’t think I would be sad a=about a series being a bit long.
I know basically nothing about this series but I know that I love Kate Bishop as a character and she’s a badass and I think I’m already in love with her???
I love a badass lady and I love good artwork so I have high hopes for this. I really hope I love this as much as everyone else seems to!
This book is literally Space Opera so what’s not to love? I’ve heard this is basically Eurovision in space and that thought excites me probably WAY too much.

Hey guys, today I am trying out something new! I know I keep saying that, but I have honestly never written one of these posts before. I read mostly from the library (physically or BorrowBox/OverDrive) and go there once or twice a week, I am literally on a first name basis with some of the librarians. Anyway, so I am thinking about doing some library hauls every couple of months so I can keep you guys on top of what I’m reading and so I can also show my support for libraries!
UPDATE: I wrote this in the middle of May so I might have read a few of these already.

I read this in early May and I really thought I would love it. And I did for the first hundred pages but the rest of the book was a bit of a let down for me. I thought this was going to a really fun and interesting historical mystery that I would be gushing about for days. But, unfortunately, it just wasn’t for me. I think that if you are a fan of the scenery and general vibe of Jane Eyre or Persuasion you might enjoy this and if you like a mystery with a prominent love story this will be for you. I wish I would have loved this more but, unfortunately, there was too much romance and not enough actual mystery for me.
As I am writing this I am 100 pages in and so far I am really enjoying it! I’ve only read Batman by the same author and I am really enjoying her writing style! I should have finished it by the time this post goes on if everything goes to plan!
As I am writing this post I am roughly halfway through the book. I’ve been reading roughly 100 pages a day so I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to return the book next week. So far this is really good and I am really enjoying it. This is a really character based series, so if you like books that focus more on the characters you should check out this series!
I picked this up from the library on a whim and I think I’ll give it a shot. It’s got really good ratings on Goodreads so I’m excited to get into a new Mystery Thriller!

I recently wrote a blog post about some of the popular YA books I still haven’t read and TSOA was on the list. My comments blew up and pretty much everyone told me that I have to pick it up asap, so I put it on hold straight away after seeing everyone’s positive reaction to the book!
This was also on my list and it also got a pretty positive reaction so I figured why not put it on hold at the same time? I’m sure I will pick it up soon after I finish Little Gone Girl! It feels like forever since I read a YA fantasy so I’m excited to get back into the genre!
Yes, I know. Shame me, please. It came to my attention recently that I have somehow managed to not pick this up yet. I’ve just never had the chance, I’m trying to limit the number of books I buy and I have never seen at my library, so I just decided t bite the bullet and put on hold at my library!
This title is depressing and the premise is depressing and I am so excited. It’s basically Passengers but with a twist I guess? Actually, scratch that. What am I talking about? I haven’t even seen Passengers. *coughs* It’s what I imagine Passengers with a twist would be… I did a bad job of explaining that but, you should click on the cover and check out the blurb yourself!
I have recently found out that I really enjoy dark contemporary stories. I recently read and loved The Nowhere Girls & The Female of The Species. They are both pretty dark with some intense subject matter, much like this book and I’ve heard amazing things about Bad Romance so I figured I would give it a go!

Hey, guys today I’m coming at you with ANOTHER haul. I know, I hate me too. In my last haul, I said that I thought I might finally be slowing down, because I know 2017 has been the year of book buying for me. Well, then all my exam stress hit me at once and suddenly I was doing a whole lot of unnecessary online shopping and now I have no more room left on my comics shelf and I think I feel a bookshelf reorganisation mood coming on.
Anyway, so I have high hopes that this will actually be the last haul you guys will see from me for a while, especially because Christmas is coming up in a couple of months. Honestly, if you guys see another haul from me next month please shame me.

Harry Potter with Broom [exclusive]
I know I don’t really need anymore Pops but I actually really enjoy collecting them, besides my bookshelves, the pops are the only things that actually show my personality. Anyway, so this is actually my first HP pop. I know that sounds weird, I am a book blogger after all. It’s just that I know these are all really popular and so the company will continue to make more and more series for HP and I didn’t want to buy one just to find one I liked better later on. But pretty much as soon as I saw this announced I knew that I wanted it.
I actually don’t plan on buying a whole bunch of HP pops, just the ones I really want, like this one and the Luna pop where she’s wearing the lion head.
