All The Books I Read in January – April | 2021 Books πŸ“šπŸ‘€ [90 BOOKS IN 4 MONTHS!]

Hi friends, welcome back to my blog! Today I’m posting a quick summary for the first four months of the year and showing you everything I read in those four months! I used to do these back in 2019 but didn’t continue them into 2020 because I was a bit too overwhelmed. But, I had a spare moment today so I figured why not! I hope you all enjoy this and maybe find a new movie to watch!

2021 Love/Hate APRIL Challenge ⇀ I read awful romances that made me want to bang my head against a wall… πŸ’’πŸ’€ (ft. robert pattinson)

Hi friends, welcome back to my blog! Today I’m going into depth about the books and movies Rebecca picked for me in April! Our theme for April was ROMANCE! Rebecca and I finally decied to recommend eachother some romance to read and watch, one we loved and one hated – the twist being that we have to try and figure out which is which! This month I was completely htrown into the deep end and out of my comfort zone, though to be fair I did the same to Rebecca! πŸ˜‚

April Stats Wrap Up ⇀ 2021 Stats πŸ“šπŸ‘€

Hi friends, welcome back to my blog! I’ve been loving going through my stats every month with you all so I’m defintiely making this a thing for the rest of the year! I’m definitely finding it interesting how… comfortable I get with certain genres and age ranges… let’s see how that changes throughout the year (hopefully a lot πŸ˜‚)

So far 2021 is going really well in terms of the quantity of what I’m reading and I’ve almost hit my Goodreads 100 book goal, but if I’m honest I’m not enjoying what I’m reading and I think I need to go on a romance binge or something because I defintiely need a laugh of a trope pick-me-up to put a smile on my face. Anyone have any romance new release recommendations?

You can find my April reading (and move/tv) wrap up here! I always go through all the books I read throughout the month, as well as asny of the movies or tv shows I watched.

APRIL WRAP UP // I legit had no energy to read because my insomnia took over this month and I turned into a zombie 😫 (sorry)

Hi friends, welcome back to my blog! Today I’m bringing you a shorter wrap up thatn I’d like but April ended up being a crzy busy month and I didn’t read anywhere near as much as I was hoping to. I had some uni assessments and some serious insomnia problems so honestly April was a tired blur for me, but I managed to somehow read 9 things throughout the month, so I can still scrounge up a wrap up for you all!

Also, just a quick question/side note. How do you all deal with feeling like you aren’t reading enough? I’ve been dealing with this for years, but over the last couple of months it’s really hit me hard, especially since I literally run a book blog, and I don’t really know how to deal with the pressure that I’m putting on myself. I know that I’m a slow reader with a short attention span but for whatever reason I still expect myself to read 15+ books every month and still get everything else in my life done. So, do you also put these pressures on yourself? And how do you deal with it, if you do?

*Also, another side note. I mentioned my insomnia in the title and I think I’ve mentioned it before on here but, I just want to quickly stress that I don’t want to see any comments about how if I’m an insomniac why don’t I just read when I’m not sleeping? That’s really not how it works with me. I had some serious insomnia flare ups in April to the point where I was going through 48+ hour episodes without any sleep (while also going to uni + doing assessments) and really I was a zombie for most of the month to the point where I couldn’t hold coversations or walk straight most of the time, so yeah… I just wanted to put that out there. ❀

Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog! I’ve gotten really into going through my reading stats this year and I figured that since techinically the first quarter os the year is now officially over and we’re going into April it might be fun to do a quick summary of the first 3 months of the year. Anyway, that was super long-winded way of saying that I’m doing reading stats for the first three months of 2021!

MICHAEL B JORDAN AND ROMANCES πŸ’•πŸ’• – 2021 Love/Hate Challenge

HI everyone, welcome back to my blog, today I’m going into depth about the books and movies Rebecca picked for me in March, following the theme of favourites! In March we decided to recommend out favourite authors and actors so she got a lot of Keanu Reeves and I got a lot of Michael B Jordan! This month Rebecca picked some real bangers, all out of my comfort zone so get ready to see me struggle! But, to be fair, I think I was a little mean with some of my picks too, so all’s fair…

Make sure to check out Rebecca’s wrap up to read her thoughts on this month’s theme!

MARCH WRAP UP | Not a whole lot of reading, but a whole lot of uni

Hi friends, welcome back to my blog! Today I’m going though my March wrap up and talking about everything I read and watched throughout the month! March was a really busy month for me and I found that I didn’t have a lot of time to do much of anything outside of work and school. But, I’m currently in lockdown in my city and on top of that, I’m down to only 2 jobs so hopefully that means I’ll have at least a couple more hours to either catch up on sleep (which my Insomiac-ass really needs) or to do something that isn’t uni related. 🀞🀞

It’s been a long month and I’m glad it’s over but I have a feeling that April is going to be just as busy, if not more. I’m still going to try and post a couple of times a month – also look out for a super cool recommendations post i have coming up at the end of April because I’m genuinely so excited to chat with you all about it! I’m also thinking about gradually doing more tv reviews throughout the year, along the lines of my Glee season 1 review, so let me know if you’d be interested in seeing that! (and also maybe suggest some shows for me to check out?)

No tbr wrap up this month as I literally didn’t get around to reading any of them!

READING OUT OF MY COMFORT ZONE πŸ€”β‰πŸ“šπŸŽ¬ – 2021 Love/Hate Challenge

Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog and welcome to my challenge wrap up for February! If you don’t already know, Rebecca and I are doing a year-long challenge where we pick 2 books and 2 movies for the other person to read and we have to review them ourselves and also decide which we think the other person loved and which one they hated.

This month we picked content that was out of the other person’s comfort zone and oh boy did Rebecca succeed! πŸ˜‚ I’m not gonna lie, when I saw the books she chose for me I got a little scared!

Make sure to check out Rebecca’s wrap up to read her thoughts on this month’s theme!
