MAY TBR | 🀞🀞 Classics and 2021 Releases! (will i finally rate something above 2.5 stars?)

Hi friends, welcome to my blog! So, March and April were a bit messy and I didn’t read many books that I rated above 2.5 stars but it’s a new month and I have faith that I’m going to read some truly fantastic books! I have a few buddy reads lined up with Rebecca that I’m really excited for and I also have some older titles that I’ve been meaning to pick up for YEARS so I have my fingers crossed that I’ll enjoy them!

*If you’re interested to know my thoughts on a particular book , please do still tell me because that will definitely give me extra motivation to pick it up!

MY APRIL TBR // The month where I WILL rate something higher than 2 stars

Hi friends, welcome back to my blog! 2021 so far has been completely crazy and very rocky in terms of reading, especially now that I’m back at uni. March was a pretty good reading month in terms of pages and quanitity but, most of them were 2 star reads so overall it was a bit of a mess and aletdown BUT I have higher hopes for April!

Fingers crossed I get to at least some of the books on my tbr, and that I rate them higher than 2 stars!

MY MARCH TBR + THE BOOKS ON MY RADAR (+ The Backlist Readathon)

Hi friends, welcome back to my blog! In January I read 44 books and in February I read 29 so you could say that I’ve been reading intensely high above my usual rate per month so far in 2021. But, for March I’m going back to uni as well as working so I’ll be busy almost every day. So yeah, I think it’s safe to say that my days of reading and finishing a book every day are over. It was fun while it lasted but now I’m going to focus on bigger books and just mood reading whatever’s on my tbr from the library

I’m actually really excited for March because I’m hoping that because of my long bus trips to school I’ll be able to listen to some longer books and maybe even read some 2021 releases since I know I’ve been missing out on some great new releases lately.

All in all, March is about chilling out and reading whatever I’m in the mood for, whether it’s a quick novella or a 900-page book!

FEBRUARY TBR ⇀ Attempting 28 in 28 πŸ“š

In January I read a riduclous amount of books so guess who’s trying to make lightining strike twice! πŸ˜‚πŸ™ˆ I have to go back to Uni in March so I’m trying to fit in as much reading as I can before I am forced to really slow down and focus on other things. I will be going back to working two jobs this month so I have literally no idea how reading a book every day will go for me but I’m hoping I can catch up on the weekends.

Also, a fun update for my reading throughout this year. My tbrs have always been more of a guide for my reading and a show of the mood I’m in at the beginning of the month, but I’ve decided this year that I’m going stop forcing myself to read off my tbr if I’m not in the mood for the books. 2021 is about getting through out and being realistic. 2021 is the year of the mood read.
*If you’re interested to know my thoughts on a particular book though, please do still tell me because that will definitely give me extra motivation to pick it up!

JANUARY TBR ⇀ Kicking off 2021! βœ¨πŸ“šπŸŒ»

January is more about getting to know what kind of a reader and blogger and in general, human I want to be in 2021. So, I’m mostly planning on getting my blog schedule sorted and reading as much as I can, since last month I tried to watch a movie every day. I have a few buddy reads planned for this month but apart from that I’m really hoping to just relax, listen to a bunch of audiobooks and play animal crossing.

I haven’t added the comics, maga of graphic novels on my tbr to this post because I’ll have a seperate blog post for those. But, I thought I’d mention here that a mini round of Graphicsathon is happening again from the 16th of January to the 19th in your time zone!
