Hey everyone, welcome back to my blog! It’s officially December and I’m officially a week away from only working one job again and having some semblance of a life so I figured I’d quickly update you all with my reading plans for the month! I honestly don’t have any big plans other than reading as much manga as I can and just getting my Goodreads currently-reading shelf back down to zero to start 2022 off fresh. Also, can anyone else not believe that it’s almost 2022?? It really doesn’t feel like we’re about to start a new year!Continue reading “DECEMBER TBR | catching up with my ‘currently reading’ shelf & reading a book every day”
I don’t have massively high hopes for my reading this month. I’m working a lot and uni is starting up again so I really don’t think I’ll be reading much for the rest of the year, but if I do get to any books they’ll probably be on this list!
We’re nearing the end of the year so we’re all trying to catch up on our Goodreads challenge goals so the other Graphicsathon hosts and I thought we’d put on a short weekend Cram Session to try and read as many graphic novels, comics and manga as we can before December hits! I really loved planning and running this readathon and I know it’s a big reason why I’ve read so many things this year so I really hope you’ve all enjoyed the rounds this year and hopefully we’ll be back with a full round soon in 2022!
- Dates: Nov 6th – 7th (your time, starts 12:00 AM and ends 11:59 PM)
- Hosts: Ally, Becca, Rebecca and Me!
No prompts for this round BUT we did make a spin wheel of past prompts to help you pick your next read! Find our wheel here!
The main goal for this mini round is just to catch up on the graphics on your tbr and to help catch up with your reading/Goodreads goal as the year starts to wrap up!Continue reading “GRAPHICSATHON END OF YEAR 48 HR CRAM SESSION ANNOUNCEMENT + MY TBR”
Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog! Today I’m showing you all my tbr for this coming month! In September I hit a bit of a snag and got into a reading slump but I’m on my way out of it now and excited to get reading. I’m very much trying to distract myself with the thought that Christmas is coming soon so yes, I do know we haven’t had Halloween yet but we don’t actually celebrate that in Australia, so I’m moving right on to the December festivities! Don’t be suprised if there are a lot of Xmas books and movies in my wrap up!
Also, just a reminder that The Hoemance Book Club is reading A Pizza My Heart this month and I can’t wait to read it with you all! We had an absolute blast reading The Heart Principle last month!
I also wanted to mention that since I don’t do book recommendation posts quite as much on my blog anymore I have started doing them over on the Hoemance Book Club instagram account and I have some really cool posts planned for over there! You can also find us here on Twitter.Continue reading “MY OCTOBER TBR | I’m going Christmas crazy! 🎅🎄”
Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog! Today I’m showing you all my tbr for September! In August I tried out a tbr wheel and loved it but this month I’m just focusing on reading graphic novels and reading the things I’m really excited for. I’ll be doing a lot of mood reading this month!
September is also the first month when we’re kickstarting the Hoemance Book Club with The Heart Principle and I cannot wait to read it with you all!
I also wanted to mention that since I don’t do book recommendation posts quite as much on my blog anymore I have started doing them over on the Hoemance Book Club instagram account and I have some really cool posts planned for over there! Hey everyone, welcome back to my blog! Today I’m in the mood to talk books so I’m going to go through the top 10 books on my tbr for the rest of 2021 since somehow August is almost over? Also, I’m listening to the Guardians of the Galaxy in vol 1 soundtrack so it’s put me in a really really happy mood. If you’re listening to anything right now, let me know in the comments so I can add it to my Spotify playlist.Continue reading “SECOND HALF OF 2021 TBR”
Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog! Today I’m coming to you with my August tbr, a little bit late, but better late than never, I guess? This month I’m trying something new and using a tbr wheel with a whole bunch of prompts! I’ve never done one of these before but I wanted to change things up and hopefully make my tbr more exciting and randomised!
You can find my tbr wheel here if you also want to give it a go!Continue reading “MY AUGUST TBR // Using a tbr wheel for the first time!”
Hi everyone, welcome to my blog! Today I’m bringing you my July tbr and this month I am getting AMBITIOUS! Last month I participated in and hosted the Graphicsathon which got me into a really positive and motivated reading mood so now all I want to do is read! So, I’m challenging myself in July to read a book everyday and to also participate in the Olympic Games readathon which is based around the Percy Jackson series (which you don’t have to have read to participate in the readathon!)
*If you’re interested to know my thoughts on a particular book , please do tell me because that will definitely give me extra motivation to pick it up!Continue reading “July tbr | THE OLYMPIC GAMES READATHON + TRYING TO READ 31 BOOKS IN 31 DAYS 🙈”
Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog! I’m just ducking in here quickly to go through my Graphicsathon tbr and all the prompts for the readathon for anyone who missed the announcement earlier this month! I’m super excited about this round because I’ve finally manage to set it at a time where I don’t have assessments due so now I can read as much as I want without having to worry about other things!
You can find the StoryGraph reading challenge for this specifc round here. It’s a lot of fun seeing what everyone is adding to each prompt and I can’t wait to go through it after the readathon to see what everyone read! The google doc for this round should also be done in the next day or two so that will be linked on the Twitter!
- Dates: June 21st – 27th
- Hosts: Ally, Becca, Rebecca and Me!

Hi everyone, welcome to my blog! Today I’m bringing you my June tbr and it’s FULL of queer new releases and some fun backlist book that I’ve been meaning to get to for ages! I read A LOT of books in May so I’m hoping to really keep that momentum going for Pride and to also continue my amazing reading streak with the Graphicsathon later this month! I’m not going to lie, I’ve already read two books this month and I’m currently stuck into my third, but it’s only day 2 of the month so I’m trying not to get too far ahead of myself and I’m desperately trying not to get too cocky because then I’ll immediately get into a reading slump! Let me know if there are any books on my tbr that you’re also planning on picking up or if there are any I should avoid!
*If you’re interested to know my thoughts on a particular book , please do still tell me because that will definitely give me extra motivation to pick it up!Continue reading “ALL THE BOOKS ON MY JUNE TBR // Happy Pride! 🌈🌈🌈”
