DECEMBER WRAP UP // i read soo many regency romances this month??? help??? πŸ“šπŸŒˆπŸ˜±

Originally my intent for this month was to read every singe day pretty much non-stop but as you can probably assume that was a ridiculous goal that would have only surved to burn me out before the new year so I axed that almost immediately and aimed to just read as much as I could, since at the start of th emonth I was mostly just watching movies.

Overall, I think the month went really well for me and I’m even more excited to go into the new year, than ever! Happy 2021 everyone!

NOVEMBER WRAP UP // comfort movies and not a whole lot of free time

So… November. I had such high hopes but then I ended up working 3 jobs all at once and life sort of overtook my hobbies and so I went from reading everyday in the first few days on the month to sperativally reading a few pages in my lunch breaks and effectlively falling inato a reading slump. So disappointing but the school year ends ina few days so I’ll go back to only having one job which will be a huge relief and will give me some more free time!

On the other hand, this month I also made plans to watch a movie every day which was a bit difficult with me working 8-5 for a lot of the month but I somehow managed to do it, with a lot of short films and catching up with full-length feature films on the weekend.

SEPTEMBER WRAP UP | I have some controversial atla opinions… πŸ™ˆ

So… September. What can I say about September? I was in a bit of a weird life funk this month. I had a tonne of work to do for uni, I was planning a readathon, trying to find a job, in a pseudo-reading slump and all while being my super anxious self… it was an experience, I’ll tell you that for free.

What’s new with me?

You’ve all probably seen the announcement by now, as well as my life update post, but just in case you haven’t I’ll talk about it again here!

In October, a few friends and I will be hosting our second round of the GraphicsAthon; a readathon dedicated to reading manga, graphic novels and comics. It runs from the 11th to the 19th so come join us! You can find the announcement post here, and find us on Twitter over here.

AUGUST WRAP UP // Reading Old and New Favourites!

Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog! Today I’m coming at you with my August wrap up! This month started off really strong and I read some new favourites that I absolutely loved but I also had a fair bit of assessment towards the end of the month so my reading and watching really tapered off towards the backend of the month.

Overall, August was a good month, if not a little bit stessful towards the end, so now I’m really excited to see what I read or watch in September!

Also, for anyone curious, I host the GraphicsAThon with Destiny and round 2 will be taking place October 11-19th so you can look forward to an announcement for that soon!

JULY WRAP UP // Going Back to Uni & Slowing Down πŸ“šπŸ₯±πŸŽ¬

Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog!

Ooh wow, what to say? It’s been a very long month for me, full of uni work and not much else! I didn’t read much this month and I didn’t watch a lot either! So, you’d think I would’ve been blogging like crazy but sadly I barely posted anything at all, it seems all of my creative energy went out the window in July. I am starting to get my mojo back now though, so I have hope for August and I have officially started planning round 2 of the readathon that I co-host with Destiny! The official dates are October 11 – 19th in your time zone! (@GraphicsAthon)

↣ If you have any thoughts on what you want to see in a readathon, I’d appreciate your input here!

I’ve had a very up and down month in terms of ratings and whether I actually enjoyed what I was reading but, a plus to that is I found a new favourite 5 star read and I already can’t wait to re-read it in the future!! I also, weirdly read mostly blue-green books this month which was wild because one day, I was literally dressed head to toe in blue, next to a stack of blue books while eating a blue cake that I had made (in fairness, I was reading Percy Jackson at the time) and I think that’s honestly very weird but also low-key hilarious. It was unintentional, I swear!

Insomnia Update: I spent the majority of the month going to sleep around 3 in the morning and then waking up a few hours later for class around 8am once Uni started. BUT, thankfully I am now taking Melatonin so I’m starting to get back on track with a sleep schedule and I’m now going to sleep around midnight each night and it’s amazing! I’m still completely exhausted but I do have a lot of sleep to catch up to be fair! πŸ˜‚πŸ’•

JUNE WRAP UP | I’m in a reading slump…

wrapupfeature1

Hey everyone, welcome back to my blog!

This month has been a whole-ass wild ride, I can’t believe I’ve officially been socially distancing and staying home (not working, not going on campus for Uni) for 3 and a half months. Absolutely wild! The last couple of months have been very reading heavy for me but this month I really started to slow down. I’ve been having a lot of trouble in general, with sleeping and blogging but I start my next trimester of uni at the start of next month (online, of course) so hopefully, my schedule will start to get more in control and back on track!

So, yeah, I didn’t read a whole lot compared to previous months, but I’m still happy with the actual content I consumed, and I managed to watch a lot of movies and tv shows! This month I had plans to watch all of the marvel movies but I ended up really not being in the mood for the MCU, and instead I ended up getting SUPER invested in Batman instead so be prepared for a lot of Batman in the movies section of my wrap up! πŸ˜‚πŸ¦‡

MAY WRAP UP πŸ“š | I went from reading every day to an assessment-induced reading slump!

wrapupfeature1

Hey guys, welcome back to my blog! Today I’m showing you all the book I read in May

If March felt like the longest month I’ve ever lived through, and April flew by in a few days then May

My goal this month was low-key to hit at least 20 reads and also to read big books and I’d say I well and truly did that as most of the books I read were over 400 pages and also wow I read a lot this month! I think I’m going to try and slow it down next month so I don’t burn myself out but wow, I don’t know what my wrap up will look like next month because I officially will have no Uni assignment to submit so I’ll… just be reading??? An insane concept tbh.

Also, excuse me if thi spost looks a little bit shaky, I’m still getting used to the new WP editor. I’m not liking it at all so it’s taking me a while to get used to it and understand it!

OWLS MAGICAL READATHON 2020 WRAP UP

wrapupfeature1

Hey guys, welcome back to my blog! I know I just posted my full April wrap up but this month I also ended up doing the OWLS readathon so I figured I’d show you what I read for that + the prompts!

In March I was making plans to do the OWLs readathon but while I was making my tbr to try and fit with the prompts, I couldn’t get my tbr to work for me as something realistic that would also motivate me to read throughout the month! So, instead of the owls I decided to do 30 in 30 so I would still have a challenge for the month, but then in the last sort of week, of the month I thought just for shits and gigs I’d look up the prompts again just to see how well I would’ve done if I’d been actively participating and it turns out I’d subconsciously complete all 12 prompts! πŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ˜†

APRIL WRAP UP | 30 IN 30 DAYS!

wrapupfeature1

Hey guys, welcome back to my blog! Today I’m showing you all the book I read in April and it’s actually so many books??!!? This month, because I both had so much extra time and also a bunch of assignments due, I decided this would be the perfect time to challenge myself to do 30 in 30! I enlisted Destiny to do it with me so I didn’t chicken out after day 2. I’m not gonna lie, not only did I manage to read 30 books but I’m actually proud of what I read. I also wanted to read a lot more this month than I have in the last few months and it was amazing to get back into the groove of things! I’m sure some if this is due to procrastination and the Stay Home Reading Rush but, I genuinely had a lot of fun reading this month so I’ll definitely be doing this again in the future!

Also, I passed 800 followers on my blog this month so I wanted to quickly thank you all! You have no idea how much this means to me! Thank you so much!

Thank you so much Monet11 :-) | Funny thank you, Thanks gif, Thankful

Slightly new format but I needed a change so here are all the books that were on my tbr for the month (and whether or not I read them) and then I’ll get into the mini reviews and star ratings!
