Heartless – Marissa Meyer || A Million Worlds with You (Firebird #3) – Claudia Gray

HeartlessA Million Worlds with You (Firebird, #3)

I have Heartless out from the library but because it only came out recently I have to read it this month because a lot of people have it on hold. So far I’ve only read the first two chapters but I’m enjoying it.

As for A Million Worlds With You, I read the previous two novels in the trilogy earlier in the year. I’m not a massive fan of the trilogy, the writing isn’t the best (in my opinion), the romance annoys me and I hate pretty much every character. However, the plot is amazing. Because I love the plot so much and I have already read the first two novels I plan on finishing  the last novel in the trilogy.

Harry Potter and the Order of The Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince & Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – J. K. Rowling

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Harry Potter, #5) Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Harry Potter, #6) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Harry Potter, #7)

I’ve been rereading the Harry Potter novels throughout the second half of the year and I have only these three novels to go. However with the newer HP addition, The Cursed Child, I don’t know whether or not I will read it. I’ve heard nothing but bad things about the screenplay and hey, Joe didn’t even write it. I have no issue with reading screenplays, I’ve read Fantastic Beasts and am a great Shakespeare fan! But because of the never ending negative things I’ve heard, I doubt I’ll actually read it! Have you guys read it? Is it worth reading?

Then He Ate My Boy Entrancers, Startled by His Furry Shorts! – Louise Rennison

Then He Ate My Boy Entrancers (Confessions Of Georgia Nicolson) Startled by His Furry Shorts! (Confessions of Georgia Nicolson, #7)

I planned on finishing this series this year but only read two of the novels so if I can at least read another to before the year is up I think I should be happy enough.

Tome Topple TBR | 2016

The Tome Topple starts today! I wasn’t sure if I was going to participate in this readathon but I still have some tomes on my TBR for this month and this will give me the extra push I need to read them.

  • Amazing X-Men, Vol. 2: World War Wendigo
  • Amazing X-Men Vol 3: Once and Future Juggernaut

I read the first volume in this trilogy a few moths ago and loved it so I thought it was abut time I finally picked up the last two volumes.

Amazing X-Men, Vol. 2: World War Wendigo Amazing X-Men Vol. 3: Once and Future Juggernaut (Amazing X-Men (2013-))

  • Seconds – Bryan Lee O’Malley

Last month I completed the Scott Pilgrim series and loved it so naturally when I discovered this I just had to pick it up!

  • Nevernight – Jay Kistoff

I’m only up to chapter four but I have to say I am very, very confused. I have heard great things about this author’s works so I do have high hopes but so far I am not too impressed.

Nevernight (The Nevernight Chronicle, #1)

  • Dark Days (Skulduggery Pleasant #4) – Derek Landy

I’m roughly 50 pages into this and am, of course, enjoying this. I’m getting a romance vibe from Fletcher and Valkyrie so I’m curious to see where that will go.

Dark Days (Skulduggery Pleasant, # 4)

  • Not Another Happy Ending – David Solomons

I’m maybe 100 pages into this and am really enjoying this, I watched the movie last moth and loved it so naturally I had to pick up the book fro the library.

September 2016 TBR

Last month was my TBR was quite heavy and I was in a massive reading slump so I thought I’d slow it down this month, especially since assessment time is coming up soon.

  • Amulet Books 4,5,6 and 7

I have been slowly rereading these books over the past few months so I’m hoping to get up to date by the end of the month. This is a great series, it’s middle-grade but suitable for anyone. I definitely recommend picking it up!

  • Scott Pilgrim Volumes 2,3,4,5 and 6

I read the first volume from this series last month and LOVED IT! I’d always heard bout these books but never thought to pick them up, boy do I regret it!

  • Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire

I’m rereading a Harry Potter novel pretty much every month. I want to be able to remember pretty much everything and be completely prepared for The Cursed Child when I finally get the courage to pick it up (I’m procrastinating – I have heard terrible things about the play and it’s making me soo nervous!)

It’s not a massive TBR novel-wise but it’s still a substantial amount of reading to get done considering I will have exams for the first few weeks during the month.

This readathons goes from the 22nd of August to the 28th.

I am in a bit of a reading slump at the moment so hopefully this will help me knock some more books off of my TBR. Becasue I’m trying to ease myself out of the slump so my TBR isn’t huge.

I want to read 2 graphic novels, one novel and at least 100 pages of a book I’ve already started.

I plan on reading:

  • Book 4 of the Amulet graphic novel series

I really love this series and am currently re-reading it so I can read the seventh book which came out earlier this year.

The Last Council (Amulet, #4)

  • Volume 2 of the Scott Pilgrim graphic novel series

I read volume 1 earlier this month and loved it so I’m hoping to read the rest of the series soon.

Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World (Scott Pilgrim, #2)

  • Book 4 of the Skulduggery Pleasant series

I love these books and find that once I get into them I read them quite quickly.

Dark Days (Skulduggery Pleasant, #4)

  • The Well of Ascension

I really want to read at least 100+ pages of this because it has to go back to the library soon.

The Well of Ascension (Mistborn, #2)

August + ARC August TBR

I have A LOT of library books out at the moment so I’m hoping to read most of the books in the above picture and my Arc August novels.

Reading Challenge Host Video

01 Read a book with yellow on the cover.
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (Harry Potter, #1)
Technically there’s yellow on the cover…
02 Read a book only after sunset.

I’ve never read a book by Nina Lacour but I’ve heard all good things about her novels. The thing about this challenge is, honestly I’ll be asleep by the time the sun sets so I’ll start it around 10 pm at night.
03 Read a book you discovered through booktube.

A long with Nina Lacour’s books I have also heard amazing things about V E Shwab’s so hopefully I can get to this.
04 Read a book by one of your favourite authors.

I re-read the first book in this trilogy last month and these books aren’t massive so hopefully I can get to this!
05 Read a book that is older than you.
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (Harry Potter, #1)
I’m not really in the mood to read a classic and honestly at the moment I don’t really have the time to read one so I’m just going to use this book for 2 challenges.

6/ Read and watch a book-to-movie adaptation.
If I’m honest I probably won’t have time to watch a movie so I don’t have a book for this challenge but I guess only time will tell.

7/ Read seven books.
Other than the 4 books I’ve mentioned I’ll be trying to read Silver Surfer Volume 3 and The Third Door if I can get to them. I know that’s only 6 books but I have a very busy week during this readathon.
