Hi everyone. welcome or welcome back to my blog! Today I’m doing something a bit different and showing you a week in my life! Last week I did a mini-experiment with my sleep schedule and I documented it here! This is a bit new for me and my blog but I really enjoyed doing this so don’t be surprised if you see more posts like this on my blog in the future!
- wake up anywhere between 6 and 7 (but 6am is obviously the goal) LOL
- the first main thing I do is read – so no scrolling on my phone, but obviously letting the dog out or making breakfast is okay.
- I don’t so much have a goal, as I would just like to see if this is something that I am capable of doing to try and change my daily schedule around to hopefully change my sleeping schedule. I’m an insomniac so I have no idea if this will work for me, but I think it’s worth a shot and, doing this for content gives me a little bit more motivation to actually get up in the morning!
- I also think this will just be great for my general productivity every day and I’m really hoping I’ll read some great books too since I haven’t been loving everything I’ve been picking up lately.
what i expect will happen
I honestly expect that I will fail hard at this and that reading will not end up being the first thing I do when I wake up each day. But, I hope that I will be able to persuade myself to get up between 6 and 7 and maybe listen to an audiobook while I play some Animal Crossing. Is playing a video game any better than scrolling on my phone when I first wake up? No, but at least working on my island will be more productive than doom scrolling. I’m also hoping that this will at least wake me up a bit more since going on my phone seems to make me more groggy than anything else.

Hey everyone, welcome or welcome back to my blog! Today I’m doing something a bit different and going through what a month of reading looks like for me and I’m using May as an example! I might do this again this month, I’m not sure yet.

Hey everyone, welcome back to my blog and welcome to my new 2021 series! Last year I saw the two Emmas on Booktube doing this really fun Love/Hate challenge and I thought it looked like a lot of fun and like a good way to get out of my comfort zone so I mentioned it to my friend Rebecca over @ Bookishly Rebecca and she said she’d do it with me for the year!
This is a challenge where the two of us recommend 2 books and 2 movies to eachother, one that we *hated* and one that we *loved* and then by the end of the month we have to guess which one the other peron liked/disliked and review them each ourselves.
I’m really excited for this challnege because while we watch similar movies, we rarely see eye to eye on books so I’m hoping this will get us both out of our comfort zones, especially since we have a theme for each month! January was 2020 releases and honestly, I had a blast with this theme!
Make sure to check out Rebecca’s wrap up to read her thoughts on this month’s theme!

Hi all! Welcome back to my blog! Today I’m coming at you with a wrap up of sorts! I’ve decided to try and incorporate more challenge-style posts into my blogging schedule since you guys asked for that. So, this month (these may not be monthly btw, I’m not BooksandLala) I decided to sort of test the boundaries around my reading since I’m usually very much a chill reader, and just pick up a bok when I want to. I wanted to test myself a bit but also try and moderately track my reading habits!
So, I decided to read 100 pages a day in March! That being said, how could I know how stressful March was going to turn out?!
I thought about restricting my reading to only 100 pages a day but that would mean only reading 3100 pages all month, and sometimes I just want to keep reading if I’m really into a book. The whole point of the challenge is to motivate me to read regularly (or at all) or to remind me to read every day, not to police or restrict a page number each day.
All that being said, I plan my blog content pretty far in advance, so I did forget I had this planned for the month, but I remembered pretty quickly, so this isn’t wholly accurate, but it’s pretty damn close!

Hey everyone, welcome back to my blog! Today I’m doing a January wrap up and it’s gonna be a long one so grab a drink and sit down while I go through my crazy first month of 2020!
For January, since I had the month off from school, I decided to give myself a month-long challenge, to watch a movie every day, because why not? I wanted to see how easily I could get bored of a particular genre/actor and if I would discover any new favourites along the way! I made a point to watch some of my favourite movies and genres as well as movies I hadn’t seen in years or hadn’t seen at all, as well as film completely outside of my wheelhouse!
You will also get to see my eternal shame at how disjointed my taste in movies is. I also asked people on Twitter for movie recs [here] and I tried to watch as many as I could throughout the month! Also, fun fact Ratatouille is the dish, not the rat. The more you know, hey?

Hey guys, welcome back to my blog! I’ve been trying to be more spontaneous lately, but because I’m not adventurous and could not survive in the wild I’ve decided to try The Book Scavenger Hunt!
