Hey everyone, welcome or welcome back to my blog. I haven’t written any book recommendations in a little while so I figured I would do a whole bunch and try and recommend books in a different way than I usually do.
So, today I’m recommending a book based off another book and then recommending another book based off of the other two. I really hope that makes sense, it’s actually harder to explain this concept than I originally thought it would be, but it’ll become pretty clear once you see my lil graphics and the recs!
I hope you enjoy this different way of doing recs. If you do let me know in the comments and I’ll do it again in the future!

If you liked The Raven Boys you should read The Wicker King β small town, found family, queer relationship, side fantasy/magical realism story. The writing gives me similar vibes and it has the whole small town contemporary found family story with the side fantasy storyline.
If you liked The Wicker King you should read Middlegame β Toxic Adam and Ronan vibes? I also think if you like The Wicker King youβd like Middlegame. Big creepy twins that you love vibes with a side of fantasy (+ the Deborah baker series). Also, all of these books are just straight-upΒ weird.

If you liked Captive Prince you should read The Foxhole Court &/or The Wicker King β Okay, so I know I literally just recommended The Wicker King but hear me out. Addictive toxic darknessβ¦ these three have that IN SPADES and I know it sounds awful but we eat this shit up.
If you liked The Wicker King you should read Wolfsong β queer, found family, so bingeable! If you really enjoy a little bit of darkness and need a new paranormal queer read, I highly recommend this one!

If you like The Martian you should read Jurassic Park β science you don’t understand but definitely sounds like it could be real. An entertaining and stressful sci-fi journey.
If you liked Jurassic Park you should read The Great Zoo of China β ngl The Great Zoo of China is basically just JP but with dragons. It’s full of action and it’s a good time.

If you liked It Happened One Summer you should read Juniper Hill β if you’re in the mood for a society-rich girl moving to a small town where she meets a grumpy man then you should absolutely pick up Juniper Hill. Also, Knox (the love interest) is a chef so bonus points for that.
If you liked Juniper Hill you should read Wait For It β Okay so both Juniper Hill and Wait For it are set in small towns and they both have single mums as the main character. They both also feature the grumpy x sunshine trope where the grump is their neighbour. Also, in both books, the guy is fantastic with the kids which I always love. Honestly, I love all three of these books and highly recommend them if you want a quick read!

If you liked any of these I really think you’ll like the other options too. I especially think that if you liked Neon Gods, you’ll like Kingdom of The Wicked.
They all have a badass mc, similar easy-to-read writing, smut, a dark world and a love interest who will burn down the world for the main character but who is somehow also really sweet. So, if you’re looking for any of those things for your next read you should absolutely pick one of these up!
Have you read any of these books?
