APRIL WRAP UP | i read 39 books & watched heartstopper twice!

Hey everyone, welcome or welcome back to my blog! It’s officially the end of April so I’m coming to you with my monthly wrap up! April was absolutely wild for me and almost entirely consisted of me reading romance novels like an actual crazy person but, I had an absolute blast doing it! April also inspired some new post ideas and concepts so make sure to keep an eye out for those in the future!

• The Worst Best Man [01/04] 🎧 – ⭐⭐⭐ – Not quite what I was expecting but not a bad read at all.
• Marriage For One [02/04] 🎧 – ⭐⭐⭐⭐ – Not an all-time favourite but I did really enjoy this one and can absolutely see myself recommending this one a bunch and re-reading it in the future!
• The Hardest Fall [03/04] 🎧 – ⭐⭐.75 – Some pretty hard to read subjects that I really wasn’t expecting at all (rape is involved) but otherwise I enjoyed seeing the main couple become friends.
• Terms and Conditions [04/04] ✨ – ⭐⭐⭐⭐ – An absolute masterpiece of a romance. I loved every damn second of it! The only things that could make it better is if there was an audiobook!
• Him [04/04] 🎧 – ⭐⭐.75 – Not amazing but I liked it enough that I’ll continue the series. Honestly, I just think I was in need of another hockey romance!

• The Sweetest Fix [05/04] ⭐⭐⭐ – A little bit ridiculous but I’m a sucker for a short book and a baker love interest!
• Us [05/04] 🎧🌈 – ⭐⭐⭐ – So much better than book one!! TW: homophobia
• Epic [05/04] 🎧🌈 – ⭐⭐⭐⭐ – I can’t believe this was only 78 pages! I loved this so so much! I was literally cheering through my house during the hockey game! 😂
• After Math [05-06/04] ⭐⭐.25 – I can wholeheartedly say that I don’t understand the hype for this book.
• You and Me on Vacation [06/04] 🎧 – ⭐⭐⭐⭐.25 – I absolutely loved this – the main couple were so close and I couldn’t get enough of them and their development! I can’t believe I waited so long to read this!

• 5 Rounds [07/04] ⭐⭐⭐ – I’ve never read an MMA romance before but I really enjoyed this one! This wasn’t my absolute favourite but, I did really enjoy the friendships in this book.
• The Worst Best Man [07/04] 🎧 – ⭐⭐⭐ – Pretty mediocre but I’m still going to read book 2 soon!
• 2 Fights [07-08/04] ✨ – ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5 – My favourite book that I’ve read this month!! I absolutely loved this book even though it was quite hard to read at times!
• Blind Pass [10/04] ✨ – ⭐⭐⭐ – Not my favourite but I might continue the series if I stumble across the other books!
• The Wall of Winnipeg and Me [10/04] 🔁🎧 – ⭐⭐⭐⭐ – 10/10 I absolutely loved and adored this re-read!

• The Four Leaf [11/04] ✨ – ⭐⭐⭐ – Very very short but fun while it lasted.
• Hands Down [12-13/04] 🎧 – ⭐⭐⭐⭐ – I am genuinely so so mad that I put off reading this for so long because I absolutely loved these two together!!! Mariana Zapata absolutely slayed this couple!!
• Twisted Love [13/04] ⭐⭐⭐ – Not my favourite but I really read this so god damn quickly and I will be reading book 2 asap!
• From Lukov With Love [14/04] 🎧🔁 – ⭐⭐⭐⭐ – Truly everything I needed today. Reading this honestly managed to lift my mood so much! Highly recommend!
• Dear Aaron [15/04] 🎧- ⭐⭐⭐.25 – I really thought I was going to hate this but I didn’t at all! I just wish it’d been slightly longer so we’d actually gotten to see the main couple together as a couple! Even just with a second epilogue after Aaron got back from the army!

• The Best Thing [15-16/04] 🎧 – ⭐⭐⭐ – Not what I was expecting at all, and not a story or couple I feel very attached to, but this definitely wasn’t a bad read. I’m glad I read it, it just wasn’t very memorable.
• Under Locke [16-17/04] 🎧 – ⭐⭐.75 – If you were ever obsessed with tumblr biker AUs and alpha men, this is the book for you.
• Juniper Hill [17/04] 🎧✨ – ⭐⭐⭐ – I love single parents finding love so I really didn’t hate this at all but oh boy, did that man go from “this woman and her kid are so annoying” to “you can both call me daddy” in like, 5 seconds flat.
• What’s Left Of Me [17/04] 🎧- ⭐⭐⭐ – Really heavy-handed with the domestic abuse (not from the love interest) but a good book nonetheless.
• I Temporarily Do [17-18/04] 🎧 – ⭐⭐⭐ – Short but very cute! I love friends to lovers!

• The No Show [18/04] 🎧✨ – ⭐⭐⭐.25 – I really thought this was so boring until I figured out what was going on and now I can’t stop thinking about this goddamn book.
• Midnight Sun [20/04] 🎧🔁- ⭐⭐.5 – I slipped up and rewatched a Twilight commentary on Youtube and then suddenly I was reading Midnight Sun. Nostalgia really is a curse sometimes.
• All Rhodes Lead Here [22/04] 🎧🔁 – ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5 – So maybe this is my third time reading this in 2 months. That’s my business.
• Heartstopper Vol 1 [23/04] 🔁🌈 – ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5 – So cute! I loved reading this as I watched the show!
• Heartstopper Vol 2 [23/04] 🔁🌈 – ⭐⭐⭐⭐ – I reread this halfway through season 1 and loved it!

• Nick and Charlie [23/04] 🎧🌈 – ⭐⭐⭐ – Very cute. I really enjoyed this one!
• This Winter [24/04] 🎧 – ⭐⭐⭐.5 – Very HEAVY but very relatable for me!
• Solitaire [24-25/04] 🎧 – ⭐⭐⭐⭐ – I was genuinely going to give this 2 stars but then I sat and thought about it and now I’ve rated it 4 stars. Go figure.
• Heartstopper Vol 3 [25/04] 🌈🔁 – ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5 – So so cute!! Nick and Charlie are absolutely my favourite couple to read/watch at the moment!
• Heartstopper Vol 4 [27/04] 🌈🔁- ⭐⭐⭐⭐ – I love how this whole series is about support, it makes for such a refreshing change!

• The Royals Next Door [27/04] 🎧 – ⭐⭐⭐ – I really hyped this one up in my mind and it just didn’t live up to the hype, unfortunately.
• The Deal [28/04] 🎧🔁 – ⭐⭐⭐ – I genuinely had so much fun with this re-read!
• Twisted Games [20-29/04] ⭐⭐⭐.5 – 100% better than book 1, everything the bodyguard trope should be.
• The Mistake [30/04] ⭐⭐⭐ – Not as good as book 1 but, still really good!
