Hey everyone, welcome or welcome back to my blog! February is somehow over and I think I might be a little bit it in shock because of it. It both felt like the longest and the shortest month! It’s been wild, work started up again and then stopped at the very end of the month because we’re currently going through some absolutely insane flooding in my state so everyone is staying home, but that just means that because I’m not working, I’m reading a tonne, which I’m sure will reflect in the start of next month’s wrap up!
So… February. We had an entire month of Graphicsathon which was a tad exhausting but so so rewarding and I properly got back into the romance genre which I’m so excited about! I’ve been trying to ease back into it this year but nothing has really been working but I’m currently obsessed with Mariana Zapata’s books and the Grumpy x Sunshine trope so I see a lot of those books in my immediate future! February, overall, was a good month and I’m very intrigued to see how March goes!

- Garlic & The Vampire [01/02] 🔥 – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 – So heartwarming and such a cozy read! I can see myself re-reading this soon in the future!
- Brave Chef Brianna [01/02] 🔥 – ⭐️⭐️⭐️ – A cute idea that would make a very fun cartoon but, it doesn’t quite hit the spot!

- My Lady Jane [04-05/02] 🎧🔁 – ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 – Defiinitely an interesting story and it had me chuckling too. I’ll definitely be continuing this series asap!

- The Witch Boy [06/02] 🔥 – ⭐️⭐️⭐️ – A very strong read with an interesting look at gender roles. I’ll definitely be continuing the series!
- Kristy’s Great Idea [06/02] 🔥 – ⭐️⭐️⭐️ – I know this is the ultimate nostalgia read for some, but it just wasn’t it for me. I’ve never read a BSC story before so I was mostly just bored reading this. 😂🙈
- How To Kill Your Best Friend [06-08/02] 🎧 – ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 – A somewhat predictable mystery but the vibes are perfect! 👌
- Explorer: The Mystery Boxes [08/02] 📚🔁🔥 – ⭐️⭐️⭐️.75 – I wish there were more middlegrade anthology graphic novels! This was so much!
- The Sad Ghost Club [08/02] 🔥 – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – I had no idea what I would think of this one but oh boy, I have never related more to a character ever in my life and I will absolutely be reading vol 2 as soon as my hold comes in from the library!
- Over The Woodward Wall [08/02] 🎧🔁 – ⭐⭐⭐.25 – I definitely enjoyed this more during this re-read but I definitely tuned out towards the end… whoops.
- Pride and Prejudice [09/02] 🎧🔁 – ⭐⭐⭐⭐.25 – A wonderful re-read, which I’m sure, surprises absolutely no one.

- The Wall of Winnipeg and Me [10/02] 🎧🔁❤️ – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – It ‘has it’s flaws but this really is one of my favourite romances!.
- The Love Hypothesis [11- 13/02] 🎧 – ⭐⭐.5 – Yeah, this ain’t it chief. Also I know I’m not a Reylor stan at all but how is this a Reylo fan fic?? They don’t seem anything like the characters and occasionally the love interest was actually likeable? He didn’t have a single tantrum? I’m genuinely confused.
- Sheets [08-15/02] 🔥 – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – An interesting exploration of grief, but if I’m honest I don’t understand the hype.
- Sweat and Soap Vol 1 [15-16/02] 🔥 – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Gorgeous, wonderful, stunning, 10/10
- Lore Olympus Vol 1 [16/02] 🔥 – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – I thought this might be a 5 star and oh boy is it!! 😍

- The Way of The Househusband Vol 6 [18/02] 🔥 – ⭐️⭐️.5 – So so so boring!
- The Golden Door [26/01 – 19/02] 🔁 – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 – One of the best middle grades I’ve ever read and certainly the best ’Chosen One’ story I’ve ever read!
- The Rebel and The Rake [13 – 19/02] 🎧 – ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 – One of my favourite tropes but a bit too shallow for me.
- Saga Vol 2 [18-20/02] 🔥 – ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 – Not as good as vol 1 but still so interesting.
- The Girl from the Sea [20/02] 🔥🌈 – ⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Very cute but probably not all that memorable for me.
- Amulet Vol 3 [20/02] 🔁🔥 – ⭐️⭐️⭐️ – A bit of a boring start but a good ending.
- The Silver Door [19-22/02] 🔁 – ⭐⭐⭐.5 – Not as good as book 1 but I certainly got through this one fast. I’m always happy to read more Sholto content!

- Jurassic Park [20-23/02] 🔁🎧 – ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5 – It was so interesting to re-read this. JP is one of my all-time favourite stories but this re-read was wild for me. I can’t believe how disgracefully the character Lexi was written. She’s an 8 year old but basically she is the cause of a lot of the big dinosaur attacks throguhout the book because she makes noise at the wrong time and is just generally obnoxious, and well, she acts like an 8 year old. But, by the end of the book you end up hating her probably more than any of the other characters. Also, fun fact, you can absolutely see that this book was some of the inspiration for the Jurassic World movies and also JP3 – a lot of the things they didn’t have time to include in the first JP film, they put into JP3 which is probably why the movie failed commerically, since it was also dinosaur and lacked the heart of the first film. Rant over. I still love this book, but it’s not perfect. Obviously though it’s almost a 5 star read and I still highly recommend it!
- Everblaze [02-23/02] 🎧 – ⭐️⭐️⭐️ – This series is really so good!
- Along The Saltwise Sea [24/02] 🎧 – ⭐️⭐️⭐️ – A lot of fun, I defintiely enjoyed this more than book 1!
- One Day All This Will Be Yours [24/02] 🎧 – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – The best book I’ve read so far in 2022! Absolutely fantastic and I wouldn’t be suprised if this ends up being my favourite read of the year!
- Wait For It [24-25/02] 🎧 – ⭐⭐⭐⭐.25 – I genuinely loved this! It might be my favourite Mariana Zapata book!
- Luna and The Lie [25-26/02] 🎧 – ⭐⭐⭐ – Not my favourite, but I wouldn’t say no to a re-read in the future.
- Vicious [26-27/02] 🎧 – ⭐⭐ – This just in: I do not like bully romances.

- Kulti [27/02] 🎧 – ⭐⭐⭐ – I thought this would be a new favourite but I think it’s safe to say that Kulti is my least favourite of Mariana Zapata’s books that I’ve read so far.
- From Lukov with Love [28/02] 🎧 – ⭐⭐⭐⭐ – After Kulti I was a bit disheartened with Mariana Zapata but oh boy, I am right back in love with her and her books now! I absolutely lvoed the main couple in this and I completely understand all the comparisons between them and the famous duo Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir. They are such a fantastic team in the book and I loved how they handled every situation they got into, especially the more difficult ones!

- Jurassic Park [11/02] 🔁 – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐- I genuinely think this one of the best movies ever made and I don’t understand why some don’t love it.
- Jurasic World [11/02] 🔁 – ⭐⭐⭐⭐ – A cheap relica of the original movie but, a good story none the less.
- Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom [12/02] 🔁 – ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5 – A slow start and a bit rocky plot-wise but it’s still one of my favourites!
- Jurassic Park 3 [12/02] 🔁 – ⭐⭐⭐.5 – Obviously the weakest in the franchise, but emotionally the best.
- Marry Me [22/02] ✨ – ⭐⭐⭐ – Honestly if this is the start of the 20s rom com era I am all about it!
- Gifted [22/02] ⭐⭐⭐.5 – More people need to talk about this movie because it’s geninely so so good!

Look at you! So much reading! I hope the flooding isn’t too bad, and that you all stay safe and don’t have any damages or anything!
I’ve still never read JP, though my mom has been begging me to for years lol! I should fix that soon because I’ve watched the first and 3rd films so many times it isn’t even funny 😂
