Hey everyone, welcome or welcome back to my blog. I’m trying to make more of an effort this month to blog, especially before I go back to work. So, while my dinner is marinating (because I’m a bamf who multitask) I’m going to quickly write up this post. I was just going through my preorders on audible and realised I actually have quite a few more than I realised already ordered so I thought I’d go through them quickly and talk about them all with you since I know quite a few people preorder their books these days, but likewise, some people don’t!
*I also preordered Where The Drowned Girls Go but that came out on Jan 4 and I’ve already received it so I’m not including it here on the list!
- The Roughest Draft – Co-authors to enemies to lovers??? We love a second chance romance especially from these co-authors!!
- Finlay Donovan Knocks ‘Em Dead – I’m currently reading the first book in this series and really loving it so I really can’t wait for this one! Really, I’ve known Finlay Donovan for 5 minutes and I already love her so I can’t wait to see what she gets up to in book 2!
- Murder of Crows – K Anrum is one of my favourite writers and she’s written a mystery with a teen detective MC and a podcast plotpoint so I really have no idea if I’ll like this at all since I don’t have the best rack record with detective in books, but I do trust K Ancrum to write some great characters and an interesting story so we’ll see how this goes.
- Chef’s Kiss – I’ve been eyeing this for mnths ever since I first heard about it and it sounds adorable but my library service doesn’t have plans to order it in any time soon and it’s pretty cheap on Bookdepository at the moment so I just said ‘whatever’ and bought it!
- Hook, Line, and Sinker – I’ve only read one book by Tessa Bailey in the past but this book just sounds SO up my street that I had to preorder it. I do have a few of Tessa’s other books on my tbr that I’m excited about so I’m hoping to pick up a few of her books this year.
- So This is Ever After – This book is actually the readon I decided to make this blog post. I preordered the audiobook yesterday literally just because of the tag line. It shounds chaotic and basically like fanfiction and I have such high hopes for it. It’s giving me YA Merthur vibes and 2012 me is actually quaking right now.
- The No-Show – A new Beth O’Leary? Sign me up! This honestly sounds really interesting and I can’t wait to read it!
- Book Lovers – I still haven’t read Emily Henry’s 2021 release yet but, I always add Emily Henry’s adult romances to my preorder list so hopefully I’ll get to the both of them this year!
- Seasonal Fears – Middlegame came out in 2019 but I didn’t read it until Dec 2020 and even though this sequel doesn’t follow the same characters, I love Senaan McGuire’s writing and characters so muchI can’t wait to see what she does next. I loved Middlegame so I absolutely can’t wait for book 2!
- Set On You – Hate at first sight + sunshine/grumpy trope slow burn debut novel with a curvy girl MC. It’s set in a gym atmosphere for a lot of the book but I’ve heard that it’s eally positive, especially about body types so I can’t wait to read it!
- Spy x Family Vol 7 – This is one of my favourite series of all time and even though I’m pretty much up to date with all of the issues so far but I dont mind because really I’m just ordering each manga as I’m able to preorder them.
- Lore Olympus Vol 2 – I haven’t read vol 1 yet (though I will in Feb!) but I already love the artwork and the Hades/Persephone love story so I think I’d end up really regretting it if I didn’t preorder this one because honestly I don’t buy books for my shelves unless I preorder them so I’d probably forget to purchase it otherwise.
- The Bodyguard – Okay, so the bodyguard trope is one of my top 3 favourites of all time and I really think we don’t see it enough in any media type. So, this is one of my highest anticipated books for the year and I also love the addition of the woman being the bodyguard this time. I think that’s so much fun especially because it’s written that she looks more like a kindrgarden teacher than anythnng else.
- Sweat and Soap Box Set 1 – This includes volumes 1 – 6 in the series (out of 11). I read this series in full last year and it quickly became an all-time favourite of mine that I can’t help but recommend to everyone so when I saw this on Boodepository I literlly didn’t even blink before preordering it and I know I’ll preorder the other box just as quickly as soon as it’s available!

I purchase few books and preorder even less – but I always preorder Seanan McGuire! Middlegame is one of my all time favourites so I’m also super stoked for Seasonal Fears. π

Haha I definitely don’t preorder very often, and mostly just in January but yes, I always preorder Seanan Mcguire’s books!
