Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog! We’re somehow 2 weeks into 2022 so it’s time for a fresh reading update! I haven’t been reading as much as I thought I would have this month (compared to the great binge of 2021) but I have been reading some bigger books and blogging more often, so I’m not complaining! I’ve really been enjoying the books I’ve been picking up and I know my end of month wrap up is going to look fantastic because I’ve been picking up books with some truly fantastic covers! Also, work got pushed back by another week because of Covid so now I have a whole extra week I hadn’t planned on, to read!
WWW Wednesday is hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you can find my other WWW Wednesday posts and find my progress here.

The Five Greatest Warriors | π§
This series is my perfect kind of action! It’s got a really smart found family team, a kid who never gets talked down to and is trusted, unbelievable action-movie action scenes and end of the world shenanigans. It’s absolutely properly ridiculous and every book in the series is so much fun! If you love smart movies that make no sense like National Treasure or the general vibes of Indiana Jones you should absolutely check out this series!
Keeper of The Lost Cities | π§

I randomly borrowed the audiobook out one morning, just on a whim. I really thought I’d listen to it for 5 minutes and return it but now here I am looking like a fool and borrowing out the entire rest of the series so I can read it asap! It’s got Artemis Fowl vibes and a school setting and it’s honestly a lot of fun. I won’t say this first book is mindblowing but there’s just something so charming about this book, that I can’t stop thinking about it.

Apparently, all I want to do is continue the series I’ve started and I am absolutely okay with that! I’m planning on containing the Keeper of The Lost Cities series as well as Jack West Jr in the next week and I couldn’t be more excited about it, just in the same way that these series couldn’t be any more different to each other! I also am really hoping to get to Heroes by Stephen Fry once my hold comes in from the library!
If someone could please explain my taste in books to me that would be wonderful. I never seem to pick up books by genre or theme and instead, my tbr just ends up looking like a jumbled up mess. π«

I’m so glad that you’re enjoying what you’re reading! And yay for another week of vacation! I’m about to finish up an ARC that I’ve really been enjoying called Lease on Love, and then I think I’ll go back to focusing on the two buddy reads I’m in middle!

So am I! It’s such a relief to start the year out strong reading-wise!
Yeah, I’m happy that I have more time to catch up on sleep and get some reading done but I’m not happy that I’m missing 2 weeks of work bc of Covid.
Ooh was it good? That sounds like a really fun title! Yay for buddy reads, that’s such a fun way to start out the year!
Happy reading Malka! π
