Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog and welcome to my July wrap up! This month I participated in the Olympic Games (Percy Jackson) readathon and absolutely loved it! I started out the month in lockdown and then ended it in lockdown so I was pretty much exclusively reading and watching Freddie Prinze Jr movies and eating my feelings! I did also start the month with the soft goal of reading a book a day (31) and I actually succeeded so I have a pretyy good amount of books in my wrap up for this month!

- The Backstagers Vol 2 [02/07] π – βββ – Not amazing, though, any scene/panel with Tommy in it was terrifying and fantastic!
- The Selection [01-02/07] ππ§ Blue Cover prompt – βββ – I’m ngl, I thought this was going to be awful and an immediate DNF, but it was actually pretty interesting. Although, I really didn’t appreciate that abrupt non-ending!
- Malibu Rising [30/06 – 03/07] β¨ππ§ – ββββ – So so good, I loved this from start to finish!
- Mrs Death Misses Death [03-04/07] β¨ππ§ Non-human MC – ββββ.5 – Such an interesting and suprisingly not depressing book! I didn’t love this but I also kind of did??? I highly recommend this if you want a book to make you think!
- Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur Vol 1 [05/07] π – βββ.75 – This was so cute, I can’t wait to read vol 2!
- Sabrina The Teenage Witch Vol 2 [06/07] β¨ – βββ.5 – Not as good as vol 1 but still so so good!
- When No One Is Watching [04 – 07/07] – π»π§ – βββββ – Absolutely amazing and completely terrifying!

- Orange Vol 1 [24/06 – 10/07] βββ – An average read with an interesting plot!
- Ice Planet Barbarians [10/07] π§ – β.5 – Ahh yes, there’s nothing like a bit of alien sex to really make you uncomfortable in the morning!
- My Boyfriend is a Bear [10/07] – ββ – I adored the art style and quirky storytelling but god damn I wish this was just a weird metaphor and not a woman literally fucking a bear.
- Act Your Age, Eve Brown [12/07] β¨π§π – βββββ – SO CUTE! I already want to re-read this one!
- The Deal [14/07] π§ππ» – βββ – I didn’t *love* this but it was good to read some more new adult!

- I Hear The Sunspot Limit Vol 3 [19/07] ππ£πβ¨ – βββββ – I cannot believe this series is over!
- Pretty Violent Vol 1 [12 – 20/07] – βββ – A fun art style and colour palette but the story was so boring!

- A Silent Voice Vol 6 [26/07/2021] ππ£ – βββ – I wish the topic of suicide had been handled better!
- Percy Jackson and The Sea of Monsters [26 – 27/07] ππ§π On/Near Water – βββ – I didn’t love this as much as I usually do, but I did still enjoy myself.
- Heartstopper Vol 3 [27 – 28/07] ππ – ββββ.5 – I love how cute this series is while also tackling such difficult topics!
- The Backstagers Vol 3 [29/07] πππ Under 200 pages – βββ – Underwhelming! π’
- Lumberjanes Vol 2 [29/07] πππ – βββ.5 – I definitely enjoyed this more than volume 1, it was so much fun! I can’t wait to continue the series!

- Down to You [02 July] β.5 – Freddie Prinze Jr wsan’t enough to save this movie. God damn.
- Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Part 2 [06 June] βββ.5 – Yeah so I zoned out for most of this one sorry.
- In The Heights [08 July] βββ.5 – Not as good as it could’ve been but still a really good soundtrack!
- The Red Sea Diving Resort [14 July] β – Chris Evans I’m taking this as a personal attack. I have so many regrets.
- Loki Season 1 [11-14 July] ββ.75 – A boring show with good issues for future MCU movies. Bring on the multiverse!
- Coco [18 July] βββββ – I’ve never seen this before but I officially now have a new favourite movie!
