THE NETGALLEY TAG // TAG MONDAY

Hey everyone, welcome back to my blog! I recently got back into using NetGalley so I figured this was perfect timing to do this tag, especially since it’s also Monday which means it’s time for another book tag!

I’m really intersted to know if anyone elese here uses NetGalley since not many people talk about it as often anymore!

1.Β Auto-Approved:Β Who’s one author whose books you automatically want to read, regardless of what they’re about?

Taylor Jenkins Reid and K Ancrum! I’ve read everything TJR has published and I find her books really easy to read which I enjoy! I also immediately preorder anything that K Ancrum writes because I adore how they write their characters and they’ve written some of my favourite books!

2.Β Request:Β What makes you want to request a book that you see on NetGalley?

This year I’ve been making a conscious effort to read more 2021 releases and then review them here with mini review posts. I’ve only done a few of these posts so far and I’ve been really loving them so I figure if I already plan on reviewing a 2021 release that I’m interested in, why not request it and improve my Netgalley ratio?

3.Β Feedback Ratio:Β Do you review every book you read? If not, how do you decide what books to review?

Haha, NO! I read quite a bit, especially this year so that would be way too overwhelming! I definitely discuss every book I read in my end of month wrap ups, but I definitely don’t do a full or mini review of every book I read.

If I have an ARC or a lot of thoughts on a book I’ll review it, otherwise I rarely review a book.

4.Β Badges:Β If you could create your own badge to display on your blog, what would it be for?

I think it would be really cool to have specific genre badges for anyone who reads a specific genre more than others. But, honestly I don’t really care about the badges on Netgalley.

5.Β Wish for It:Β What’s one book that you are absolutely dying to read?

Ugh, I kind of hate this question but I’ll accept it! Because I live in Australia, Netgalley is a bit different to the US, so the majority of books (especially hyped book releases) are under “wish for it” and you can’t just request them normally, so most of the books I request are wish requests for me!

6.Β 2021 NetGalley Challenge:Β What was the last book that you received as an ARC that you reviewed? If you’ve never received an ARC, what’s the last book you reviewed?

The most recent book I reviewed from NetGalley was Jonna and the Unpossible Monsters Vol. 1 which comes out in August!

Do you use NetGalley?
Do you request books often?

  1. Cheer Up is on my list as well! It sounds so good. Taylor Jenkins Reid is also an autobuy author for me. What a fun tag πŸ™‚

  2. I totally agree with the “wish for it” part. It really sucks which is why I am mostly on Edelweiss or just wait until the book is available on Scribd now haha. I don’t think I pay attention to Netgalley badges either, I don’t even know what badges are available πŸ˜‚
