WWW Wednesday 12.05.2021 | 2021 releases + reading romance!

Hi friends, welcome back to my blog! Today I’m coming to you with a reading update for this past week and guess what? I’m actually reading for once! I’m finally starting to read more 2021 releases which I’m really excited about and I’m getting back into a romance reading mood which generally means I read at a faster pace and consume more books than usual!

I will be going away in a few days for a work trip so I doubt I’ll read much but I might take a manga or two with me to hopefully keep me occupied on the long drives! Other than that, not much is happening with me and I’m excited to see what I read next!

This is eveything on my currently reading shelf but as for what I am actively stuck into the answer is nothing! I finished my latest read yesterday and I’ve been too caught up with work and uni to start anything new!

I thought I was going to love this and it was going to be a new favourite but unfortunately, it wasn’t! I really thought it was so funny in the beginning but I quickly fell out of love with this one. This was such a fun idea but by the end, too many things were going on and the plot was too convoluted. Also, and this is such a nitpick, I just didn’t think the “twist” at the end was very twisty since I called it from the very beginning and I never fell for the romance. I’ll definitely check out more of Jesse Sutanto’s books in the future, this one just wasn’t everything I wanted it to be.

I’m not currently reading anything right now but I think the next book I pick up will be Get a Life, Chloe Brown because I’m in such a fun romance mood right now! Other than that, I’m really hoping to pick up Before The Coffee Gets Cold because it’s been too long since I read a short book! And then in a total 180 I’m thinking I should finally pick up 1984!
