Hi friends, welcome back to my blog! Today Iβm coming to you with my (shorter than last month’s, but still pretty long) February wrap up! Iβve decided that this year I want to do my wrap ups differently and that theyβll be spread across 3 different blog posts so expect my Love/’Hate challenge wrap up , my Feb stats and my tbr to be coming your way in the next few days!
So… Feburary… How was the shortest month of the year also the longest??? I worked a whole lot and I started prepping for uni and I got very stressed and then I got too relaxed and then I got anxious about not being stressed and then I started getting into a reading slump and then I *just* barely escaped a slump and then I almost got into another one and now we’re here.
So, it’s been a long month but I read something every day and I genuinely enjoyed what I read so I’m super excited for March even though I know I will be even busier than I’ve been in months. Heads up, there won’t be any crazy challenge for March because I’ll be starting uni so no more 31 books in 31 days posts because I’ll be lucky if I finish even two books.

- Ten Arguments for Deleting Your Social Media Accounts Right Now [01/02] π§ β’ 4β β£ Not me scrolling through Twitter while listening to this. In all seriousness this was good, but more for someone who wants to be on social media less, not for someone who wants to quit social media all together.
- The Pale Dreamer [01/02] π§ β’ 3β β£ Not necessary to the story (as far as I know) but helpful if you need explanation or context for the world-building.
- A Court of Thorns and Roses [01 -02/02] π§π β’ _β β£ I know I only read this for the first time in 2020 but I already have so much nostalgia for this book.
- The Midnight Library [02/02] π§ β’ 3.5β β£ The audiobook is read by Carey Mulligan and I think that’s all I need to say. ππππ―π―π―
- A Court of Mist and Fury [03 – 04/02] π§π β’ 4β β£ I think I preferred this the first time I read it but I still really really enjoyed it. I’m very excited for book 3.
- Why We Sleep [05 – 07/02] π§ β’ 4β β£ So so fascinating, I highly recommend picking this up!

- Death on The Nile [08/02] π§ β’ 3β β£ Pretty boring tbh. I have higher hopes for the movie.
- After The Funeral [08/02] π§ β’ 3β β£ BIG Knives Out vibes. We love family murder drama.
- When A Scot Ties The Knot [08 – 09/02] π§ β’ 2.75β β£ Yeah… no.
- Graceful Burdens [09/02] π§ β’ _β β£ Such an important short story about motherhood and controlling people’s bodies. I also loved how this discussed the pressure to have a children and a general commentary on parenthood.
- A Court of Wings and Ruin [09 – 10/02] π§ β’ 3.5β β£ Honestly, better than I thought it would be.
- A Court of Frost and Starlight [10/02] π§ β’ 3β β£ Wholly unnecessary but I loved the small glimpse we got at Nesta!

- All Systems Red [11/02] π§ β’ 3β β£ I wish I’d loved this more than I did. It’s such an interesting idea, I just didn’t love the execution.
- Because of Miss Bridgerton [11/02] π§ β’ 4β β£ I thought I was falling out of love with Julia Quinn’s books but I loved this!
- The Girl with the Make-Believe Husband [11 – 12/02] π§ β’ 4β β£ Oh my god yes a While You Were Sleeping reimagining!
- The Kiss Quotient [12/02] π§π β’ 5β β£ Truly one of my favourite books, I just HAD to re-read it.
- These Broken Stars [13/02] π§π β’ 4.75β β£ Not me reinhabiting the body of my 15 yr old self and re-reading this book. & not me also loving it. π I’m still so trash for Lilac and Tarver it’s not even funny.
- The Only Living Girl on Earth [15/02] π§ β’ 5β β£ The best kind of Westworld vibes! This is a Scribd original which I had no idea was a thing, but I loved this and will definitely be checking out other originals!

- Just Like Heaven [16/02] π§ β’ 3.5β β£ This was ridiculous but I still enjoyed it!
- A Night Like This [16-17/02] π§ β’ 3β β£ Not as good as book 2 but I liked Anne.
- The Risk [17/02] β’ 2.5β β£ Not my cup of tea, this felt more like criminal minds fanfiction than an actual cohesive story. A good idea, but could’ve done with some more editing or a beta reader.
- This Night So Dark [17/02] π β’ 2.5β β£ Unfortunately, this was really boring.
- The Other Miss Bridgerton [21/02] π§β’ 3β β£ Ngl this actually could’ve been a lot worse.
- This Shattered World [22/02] π§π β’ 3.25β β£ Not as good as book 1 but still pretty good.

- Sidetracked [22 – 23/02] β’ 2.5β β£ I love the idea for this series, just not loving the executiton. I’m not vibing with the writing.
- Scarlet Angel [23 – 24/02] β’ 3β β£ Finally getting super into this series! It’s such a quick read and very compelling!
- Cemetery Boys [14 – 24/02] π§πβ’ 3.75β β£ I know this took me a long time to read it but that’s because I was savouring it! It’s rare that I’ll read a book and take it slowly just because I want to spend longer with the characters but that’s how I felt about Cemetery Boys and I already can’t wait to read more from Aiden Thomas!
- All The Lies [26/02] β’ 3β β£ Super intriguing but the writing really lets this series down!
- Enemies [28/02] β’ 2.5β β£ Not bad just felt unnecessary in my life and also like it was trauma written for trauma’s sake.
DNFs
- The City We Became – 05/02 – I only got 2 chapters into this. I just think I wasn’t in the mood for it.

- Fast & Furious 6 [07/02] β’ 3.5β β£ Holy crap I love these movies.
- Furious 7 [07/02] β’ 3β β£ They… They drove out of a plane. Oh my god.
- The Fate of The Furious [08/02] β’ 2β β£ This might be the worst movie in the franchise, it felt completely wrong.
- The Mummy [14/02] β’ 4.5β β£ Genuinely one of the best movies ever made.
- Just Married [19/02] β’ 1β β£ Genuinely one of the worst movies ever made.
- Cinderella [20/02] β’ 3β β£ I really really wish I’d loved this, but I just couldn’t get into it.

- Fantastic Four [20/02] β’ 4β β£ I just need the world to know that the Fantastic Four are the superior superhero team up and I love them with my entire heart. I’ll take this movie over Endgame any day.
- Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer [20/02] β’ 2.5β β£ A terrible sequel and movie in general, but like… I live for Laurence Fishburne as Silver Surfer so you’re just gonna have to fight me about it.
- Flora & Ulysses [21/02] β’ 3β β£ I cannot believe I’m saying this but this was actually pretty good and yeah I’d watch it again. (Though, the whole thing with the mother wanting her daughter to read but then taking away her comics really pissed me off.)
- Gotham Knight [24/02] β’ 3β β£ An interesting animation style but I didn’t love this as much as I wanted to.
- Batman: Year One [24/02] β’ 2.5β β£ Finally some serious focus on Commissioner Gordon!
- Batman: Under The Red Hood [24/02] β’ 4β β£ A great animation style and a genuinely really interesting story!

- Their Fractured Light [started 27/02] β’ π§ β£ Yup, still enjoying these books.

Haha yeah, I read too many things this month! π
I’m so glad you enjoy them!! ππ I always have to cut back on my thoughts otherwise my wrap-ups would be too long but I’m happier to write a bit more on each book if that would help?
I’m so glad you enjoy my reviews! π
