Graphs

Graphs copied from my Storygraph profile & my Notion pages – you can find my blog post about those here.
*Some of the graphs can be a bit hard to read and I’m limited by block sizes and screen so click on the images for a close-up!

Pace

In January I read a lot of historical romances so I read a lot of fast paced books, and in February I read some longer fantasies like the ACOTAR series, but I also read the majority of a novella series (roughly 100 pages per book) so I really did read a good range of paces this month. I think these graphs really are going to show off my mood reading the most throughout the year!

Page Number

I unintentionally focused arounf the 300 page mark in February and honestly it kind of bugs me. I know most books hit that kind of page count, but I love novellas and really long books, so I really hope I change things up in March! In January I read an almost 50/50 split between novellas and books 300-499, so at least my reading changed somewhat this month.

Fiction / Non Fiction

In January I read just the one non-fic but in Feb I managed two which I really enjoyed! i am hoping to keep this up and maybe read at least one in March if I can find one that sounds interesting. I feel like I never read non-fiction so I’m really loving seeing the purple in this graph each month!

Star Rating & Average Rating

In January I read mostly 3 star books which is pretty normal for me, so unshockingly the same thing happened this month. Honestly, the most impressive thing to me, is that I read so many 4-5 star reads! Two whole 5 star reads!

Also, my overall average rating on Goodreads is 3.50 and my average rating for January (where I read a lot more books) so the fact that my rating average for this month was so similar is actually really impressive to me and is giving me higher hopes for March!

Average: 3.42 ⭐

Genres

In January I read mostly romance, or more specifically historical romance and I read pretty similarly this month too. But, in afun turn of events I also focused on mysteries and scifi which I really enjoyed! This is mostly due to the MIndfuck series by T S Abby & the ACOTAR series.

Also, for reference I’m labelling historical romance as anything set before 1980 and romance as anything after (yes, it’s harsh but I was born in 2000 so everything from the 1900s sounds medieval to me.)

I also haven’t labelled any as “mixed” because that just gets too confusing and I like to have straight and easy to read stats. So, a lot of these could easily be Fantasy and Romance but I’ve labelled them as Fantasy as to me, it makes more sense as an overal genre vibe.

Age Range

I read no middle grade this month which was disappointing but, I managed to read quite a bit of Adult which I’m finding is my happy place age-wise so I’m sure for the rest of the year the adult section will be dominating these posts.

Aaaaaand that’s it! These are all of my stats for the month! I think I did pretty damn well this month, I read a pretty diversely in terms of genres which I’m really happy with and I managed to read a few big books which always makes me happy!

Let me know if there are any other stats you’d be interested in seeing and I’ll add them into future stats posts! And please let me know how February went for you in the comments!
