WWW Wednesday // 24.02.2021 | Starting to slow down! Falling into a reading bubble?

Hi friends, welcome back to my blog! Today I’m coming at you with an update for how my reading has been going for the last week, and what I’ll be reading over the next weeks!

As you may or may not know if you frequent my blog, I’m currently doing 28 in 28 for all of February. So, I’m aiming to read 28 books in February and so far I’ve read 26! I’m also well ahead of my StoryGraph and Goodreads goals which is really exciting! I’m definitely going to slow my roll in March though, because it’s suprisingly exhausitnf reading a book a day… Also, genre-wise I think I’m falling in a reading safe space which you’d think would be a good thing but actually it just means I’m not branching out with my reading, so I’m hoping that in March I’ll be able to read more diversely than I have been this month.

Cemetery Boys

Cemetery Boys | 🎧

As I’m writing this blog post I am 72% of the way through Cemetery Boys! I’ve been literally reading this book for 10 days so the fact that I’m really enjoying it but still not finished it is completley baffling to me, honestly. I’m really hoping I can finish it tonight because I’m so interested to find out the ending to the mystery and I’m so excited to see what happens with Yadriel and his family.

The Other Miss Bridgerton by Julia Quinn

My Goodreads Review | My StoryGraph Review

Not my favourite book in the series so far, but of all of Julia Quinn’s romantic couples this is one of the most mature of all of them, which I really appreciated. I feel like so often, the main characters are completely ridiculous and make such astupid decisiions for the sake of the main trope and I just can’t handle it. Honestly, it was so refreshing to not be rolling my eyes constantly!

The Rig (The Rig, #1)
If We Were Villains
Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1)
When No One is Watching
A Gathering of Shadows (Shades of Magic, #2)

  1. It’s really interesting to hear how you are doing with 28 in 28! I hope you have found some great reads. Heads up that When No One Is Watching is a little slower than I personally anticipated but I truly loved the book. Happy reading!

    1. I hit 28! My wrap up is going to be wild lol, I read a lot of very different books this month so it all looks a bit messy! 😂
I still can’t believe I haven’t read it, I feel like we’ve been talking about it forever! I’ll definitely read it before the live show!

  2. I can’t imagine being about to do this challenge! I would have to do nothing but read which would be amazing but impossible! I am inspired though, you are totally smashing it!

    1. I was lowkey aiming for 30 but then the end of my month got really busy so I only got to 28! I listen to a lot of audiobooks as I do work on my computer/ get ready for work, every couple of minutes helps me a lot!

    1. It was a really good audiobook and I definitely recommend it! I typically listen between 2.50x and 3x speed, but I did find that anywhere between 2.8 and 3 speed was difficult with the accents and certain names but that was the speed I was listening at, and not the actual book. I definitely recommend it!
