WWW Wednesday 17.02.2021 | Falling into a reading slump??? πŸ˜°πŸ˜«πŸ˜¬

Hi friends, welcome back to my blog! Today I’m coming at you with an update for how my reading has been going for the last week, and what I’ll be reading over the next weeks!

As you may or may not know if you frequent my blog, I’m currently doing 28 in 28 for all of February. So, I’m aiming to read 28 books in February and so far I’ve read 18! I’m also well ahead of my StoryGraph and Goodreads goals which makes me very happy. I do think it’ll be interesting to see how my reading goes in March though because I really think if I don’t slow down I might fall into a reading slump which would be really unfortunate since I’ve been really loving reading lately.

That being said, I am falling into a re-read focused mood so I wouldn’t be suprised if, for the rest of the month you just see me reading regency romances and re-reads. We’ll see!

WWW Wednesday is hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you can find my other WWW Wednesday posts and find my progress here.

Cemetery Boys

I started this a few days a go, at this point and honestly as much as I’m enjoying it (because I really am) and as much as I enjoy learning about the main characters and their magic, I just can’t get into this book. I find it all so interesting and the writing is easy to read but, maybe I’m not in the right mood for this book? I don’t know, honestly. This is a good book with interesting characters and important themes but I keep reading a bit, ;utting it down and then forgetting to pick it back up. I do think I’ll have his finished by the end of the month though, I’ll just have to sit myself down and not let me do anything else until I’ve finished it.

My Goodreads Review | My StoryGraph Review

My most recent read was The Only Living Girl On Earth by Charles Yo. Charles Yu was one of the writers on Westworld and you can really tell! This is the exact kind of story that I love to see on tv, so I wasn’t sure how it would translate to story-form but, this was absolutely amazing and I could vividly see everything the author was talking about in my head. Which, for me, is really saying something because usually when I’m reading it’s usually no thoughts head empty with me.

The Mime Order (The Bone Season, #2)
Enemies
Trainspotting
Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1)
The Other Miss Bridgerton (Rokesbys, #3)
Just Like Heaven (Smythe-Smith Quartet, #1)

I feel like I have a massive tbr at the moment and also zero motivation to read. Isn’t that always the way?

I have a few romances left on my tbr for the month and of course, they’re Julia Quinn novels. I do also have some fantasies on my tbr though, so I have high hopes for them both!

What are you currently reading?
Are we reading any of the same books?

    1. Haha, I keep managing to pull myself out of it at the last moment but I think I’ll definitely read less in March!
I’m so excited for Trainspotting, I’ve heard such good reviews!
I’ll definitely check out your post!
