Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog and welcome to my new reading update series! I posted the first book in this series last month and really enjoyed the format and talking with you all about what I’m currently interested in!

As for a life update, I’m currently working again so I’m back to working 2 jobs a week and on top of that, this month I’m planning to read 28 books (so, 1 a day) and so far its going really well for me! So, so far I’m having a successdful month and have enjoyed what I’ve read. Fingers crossed my good luck continues! 🤞🤞

I just finished reading A Court of Mist and Fury, the second book in the ACOTAR series and I really enjoyed it. I love how the author explores trauma and grief and toxic and harmful relationships. I think it’s a really important book, especially in the fantasy gengre but it gets looked down on because it has sex scenes.

Okay, so one of the things I’ve discovered tbis year that I love is Tor novellas and I recently discovered the Fatma el-Sha’arawi series and I have no idea what it’s actually about but I love the covers and I trust Tor with the content they publish. I honestly don’t think I’ve found a Tor book that I didn’t enjoy, so yeah blind trust is how I’m starting this series and I can’t wait.

Next on my list is non-fiction! Before now I’ve rarely picked up any non-fic but so far this year I’ve been really enjoying the genre and I’ve found 2 new books that I’m really intrigued about! The Dip is a short novella about motivation and Why We Sleep, is exactly what it sounds like. I find sleep completely fascinating and as an insomniac, who you could argue has a different view, to people who do not struggle to sleep, I think the book could be really interesting.

WHAT I’M WATCHING

In January I bot myself re-obssessed with thr Fast & Furious Franchise but stopped watching after the fifth movie (which I loved) so I’m crossing my fingers I can remember to watch 6 and 7 before the franchise is taken off Netflix. I think I have like, 2 days so hopefully I can do it!

Honestly I sshamelessly love thiese movies but I think I put off contonuing the movies because it’s getting closer to when Paul Walker leaves the franchise forever and I’m really just not prepared for that kind of heartbreak right now.
