Hey guys, welcome back to my blog! This year I’ve been focusing on getting to know other bloggers in our bookish community and right now I think it’s more important than ever to be staying positive and engaging with each other online, so today I’m interviewing Rebecca @ BookishlyRebecca!
Rebecca is one of my best bookish and blogging friends who I’ve known for years at this point! She’s a fellow Graphics-Athon host and a good friend of mine, so I hope you all enjoy getting to know her thgough this interview just as much as I loved reading her answers!
Here are some of Rebecca’s most recent blog posts if you’re curious to see what she writes about!
- 5 2020 Romance Recs + 5 2020 romances I have on my TBR
- The End of the Year Book Tag
- SnowInLove Bingo TBR

My name is Rebecca or Becca. Whichever you think makes me sound cooler 😛

My name’s Rebecca. I’m 27 years old and I live in Pennsylvania. I’ve been blogging for over five years now but only got into book blogging within the last three years and it’s been an incredible decision. As someone who is a life-long reader, I think I’ve finally found the genres I love and mostly know what I’m looking for in the books I read. However, I’m always down to pick up pretty much anything especially when Ellyn’s involved.
If I’m not reading, I’m either writing, talking about the Jonas Brothers, or streaming something..whether it be a Youtube video, TV show, movie, or music.
As for a fun fact, most of my followers might not know about me is that I’m in the process of getting my driver’s license. Even though I’m 27, I’m still getting over a lot of driving-related anxiety and I’m finally ready to take the plunge. I can only hope that it ends up being as successful as I’m building up in mind.
The thing I blog about most is books which I’m sure isn’t surprising. I’ve heard a lot of people mention that they started their book blog since none of their friends are readers and I have to echo that statement. I love being able to get my thoughts about books out there while also being able to recommend books to others and find books I wouldn’t have heard about otherwise. Right now, I’ve really been loving doing recommendation posts so I’d say that’s what I love to blog about currently.
It’s tough to pinpoint what makes my blog stand out but for me personally, I feel like I don’t follow many people who strictly read romance so I’d say that I’m a romance reader. I also do some bookish content related to sports which I know doesn’t exactly go hand-in-hand.
For me, finding my groove took a while but I think I found my groove after I rediscovered my love for romance books along with creating a concise schedule for myself. I was trying to pump out content every day and that wasn’t necessary. Now, I realize how important quality is over quantity when it comes to blogging for me.
As for a goal, I don’t really have one. Ideally, I’d love to reach 1,000 followers on my blog. I’m not quite there yet but I’d love to get there someday.
My blog has really helped me learn time management. Even though I only work part-time at my job, I also write for two other sites in addition to running this blog. I think I’ve really learned how to manage my time so nothing falls to the wayside. With everything going on the pandemic though, it can feel a bit overwhelming but blogging has helped keep me grounded in a lot of ways.
