WWW WEDNESDAY 09.09.2020 // Assessment is taking over my life!

Hey guys, welcome back to my blog! Today I’m coming at you with an update for how my reading has been going for the last week, and what I’ll be reading over the next weeks!

WWW Wednesday is hosted by Taking On a World of Words and you can find my other WWW Wednesday posts and find my progress here.

Uni assessment combined with general life stuff means that I actually haven’t picked anything up since my one and only read this month, but I’m hoping I’ll pick up at lesast one or two more reads before the month is up!

The House in the Cerulean Sea

The House in The Cerulean Sea – T. J. Klune

I’m ngl, I was never planning on picking this up but I randomly heard someone talking about how whimsical it is and then I saw the audiobook on Scribd so I picked it up on a total whim and I’m so glad I did! It’s the perfect mix of low-fantasy with low-key X-Men vibes (without the superhero-ing)! While I was reading it kept reminding me of Welcome To Nightvale because of the super normalised but weird way it’s written and also Hotel Transylvania because of the characters in the story!

I’ve never read anything else by TJ Klune before but I know I’ll be re-reading this in the future and I’ll definitely be reading whatever they write next. I can’t recommend this enough!

I don’t really have any books I’m super interested in picking up asap but I am thinking about maybe pikcing up The Fifth Wave by Rick Yancy or The Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan!

What are you currently reading?
Have you read any of these books?
