WWW WEDNESDAY 29.07.2020 // Getting Out of A Reading Slump! πŸ“šπŸ“šπŸ“š

Hey guys, welcome back to my blog! Today I’m coming at you with an update for how my reading has been going for the last week, and what I’ll be reading over the next weeks!

WWW Wednesday is hosted byΒ Taking On a World of WordsΒ and you can find my other WWW Wednesday posts and find my progressΒ here.

The Lost Hero – Rick Riordan

The Lost Hero (The Heroes of Olympus, #1)

I just recently finished buddy reading the Percy Jackson series with my friend Destiny and we had an absolute blast! I lvoe re-reading the series and was suprised by 1) how much I had forgotten and 2) how much the series molded what I cared about as a child, like animal rights and environmental issues!

So, I’m currently starting my buddy read of the Heroes of Olympus series with Destiny and I’m maybe even more excited to read this series? I read the original series over and over when I was younger but I’ve only ever read HoO once fully so I’m really excited to see what I think of it, especially so many years later!

Romeo + Juliet – Shakespeare

Romeo and Juliet

I literally just finished reading this as I’m typing this post and honestly I’m just glad this is over! I’ve had to read this so many times for so many different english classes that I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve actually read it. Honestly, the next time I see this on the syllabus I think I’ll just skip it.

Macbeth – Shakespeare

Macbeth

So, if you couldn’t already tell, I’m taking a Shakespeare class this trimester. Up next I have Macbeth which I’ve read pretty much as many times as R + J. I do think this one is a bit more interesting and it’s shorter so hopefully it’ll be a slightly less painful experience!

What are you currently reading?
