  1. I’ve been ignoring my ever growing physical TBR…I’ve been trying to finish City of Brass because I love it but after I put it down, it takes me so much to pick it up.

The thing that seems to work for me when I’m about to or have hit a slump is to re-read a favorite book (Usually the Wall of Winnipeg) or read a book that is different than what I’ve been reading lately. It kinda gives me a reset and if I find that it doesnt, I just let myself not read. I start to watch anime and go on more walks to get energy again.

    My Tbr for July:
    Finish City of Brass
    Buddy Read Eclipse
Read From Blood and Bone By Jennifer L Armentrout
Read Ruthless Gods by Emily A Duncan
And if I miraculously make it through those….pick a book from the 15 books Ive bought so far this year and havent read….ha

    1. I usually stick to my library but I can’t ignore that my physical tbr has been slowly growing over the years too! I hope you enjoy City of Brass, I find that I have this problem with some of my favourite reads too! I’m not sure if it means I’m not engrossed in a reading mood or if I want the story to last longer!

I’m currently re-reading the Heroes of Olympus series so hopefully, that gets me back into a reading mood!
Ooh what anime have you been watching?

Sounds like you had some great reads on your July tbr! Did you have a favourite?

  2. Awwww, I’m so sorry you’re in a slump. I was in a bit of a slump for a few months that I’ve only recently been getting out of, so I can totally relate. I think I just managed by reading short books, and accepting the times when I just was not interested in reading! But re-reads and graphic novels or manga are also really helpful when you’re in a reading slump, so it looks like you’re all set!

And I don’t really make TBRs, but I’m in middle of a few books, including The Glass Hotel, that I’m really enjoying, but just haven’t finished yet! So those are the books that are top priority for me this month!

    1. Unluckily for me, I read all of my short books at the beginning of the year! I am planning on reading a bunch of comics and graphic novels for the GraphicsAthon in October tho, so hopefully, that will help!
