Oh my God, everything is happening at the moment and I am loving it! Rick Riordan (the man HIMSELF) recently announced that the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series is going to be adapted into a tv series on Disney+ and I am super excited about it! This is one of my favourite childhood series of all time, and I know I’ll still be reading it well into the future, so picture me in 20 years having a mid-life crisis and still reading Percy Jackson! Also, oh my god Becky Riordan just dropped some hints about “beginning another journey with Percy” and I am STRESSED!
So, I love Percy Jackson, it’s getting a tv series, Becky is stressing me the f out, I’m currently re-reading the series with the lovely Destiny @ Howling Libraries and now May has created a tag based on my absolute favourite characters and I AM LIVING!
*This tag is spoiler-free and has no plot hints or anything like that, so you can do it if you haven’t read all or any of the books!

- Thank the person who tagged you and link to their post.
- Link to the original creator: May @ Forever and Everly! Please note that she made the artwork/graphics, if using them. *If you care about graphics having a clear quality, make it big enough so that the dimensions are 1103 x 175!
- Match books with the given prompts.
- Tag however many people as wanted!
- Copy-paste the rules and list of prompts.

I’ve read a lot of books so far this year, and enjoyed a great lot of them but interestingly I haven’t had many actual favourites! So, if I was to pick a favourite that wasn’t a re-read, I would have to go with the Check, Please graphic novels! I’ve been reading a lot of 3 and 4 star books this year, but these graphic novels were both solid 5 stars and I know I only read them this month but I already can’t wait to read them again!

The Final Empire! This might feel like a bit of a cop-out answer but if you’re no stranger to my blog then you know how much I love this book! I love how smartly it’s written and I adore the amazing world-building, so I honestly can’t imagine having another book for this prompt!

I feel like there are honestly so many books I could pick for this prompt but I think today I’ll focus on Waste of Space by Gina Damico! I read this earlier this year and loved it!!! It’s The Truman Show meets space travel and I absolutely adored it! It was such an interesting read because you see the story from the perspective of the businesses behind the camera, but you also see the pov of the kids who think they’re legit in space and it’s crazy!!

I generally try to avoid books I think I’ll dislike but, I wasn’t’ sure if I would like Ross Poldark, the first book in the series the show is based on. I loved watching the show earlier this year, and pretty much binged the entire thing which is basically unheard of for me. So, I tried out book one and actually really enjoyed it. I plan on continuing on with the series at some point!

I actually have a lot of books that I could name for this because I have a lot of childhood favourites but I think I’m going to have to go with Harry Potter which I know is basic and boring, but it’s my honest answer! Honourable mentions are Artemis Fowl, Alex Rider, A Wrinkle In Time & Pride And Prejudice!

I feel like sibling relationships are never at the forefront like they should be, but oh well, I’ll take what I can get! I’m going to go with The Rules of Magic because I straight up adore that book, and I love how Alice Hoffman writes the families in that duology! Honourable mentions are The Red Pyramid & Three Dark Crowns!

Ooh wow, the first book that comes to mind for me is Shatter Me which I bet none of you saw coming! But, when I read that book it was such a surreal experience for me because I’d never read anything like it and I thought the writing style was so cool and different! I also think Twilight falls into this category since it was the first book I’d ever stayed up late to read, which as it turns out, was a huge mistake because I had school the next day! ππ€·ββοΈπ

Honestly, I feel like I’m pretty balanced on the old-hype front, I love a lot of the same books that everyone else loves but, I also dislike or have no interest in some of the books y’all love. so finding a book for this promo took a bit of thinking. but, eventually, I went with The Wayward Children series! I re-read this series every year along with the new release in the series and I always get something new out of it! Seanan McGuire hasn’t let me down yet, and I don’t expect she will in the future either!

My brain immediately went to some of my favourites like Farenheit 451 or A Wrinkle in Time but, honestly, if I was marooned on an island and I didn’t have access to a “How To Get off An Island: For Dummies” I’d probably want to be marooned with a big book by one of my favourite authors, so maybe The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson? I haven’t actually read this yet but I love Mistborn, so I would have no qualms with being marooned with this book.

I’m never very good at predicting 5 star reads, usually, they turn out to be nearer to 4 and then the 5 star reads just sneak up on me, but if I really had to guess I’d say King of Crows by Libba Bray! I’ve loved each book in this series so far, so I have high expectations for the finale but, I am excited to eventually getting around to reading it!

I don’t think I’ve ever been *that* excited to read a book… well, maybe after I finished The Mark of Athena (I was young and naive and not used to waiting a whole year for sequels! ππ) butttt, if I had to choose, maybe The Other Side of the Sky by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner???? Nobody is talking about this book which hurts me deep down inside my empty would because these two authors wrote one of my absolute favourite guilty pleasure series that I always go back to when I’m in a weird mood, so yeah maybe I’d get into a fist with a brick to read this early!

I could also go with Waste of Space for this one because I found out about it in the comments of one of m blog posts, but in an effort to not repeat my answers I’ll go with The Captive Prince trilogy! I was gifted the first book by Destiny who *LOVES* the series, so I decided to tie it a go and next thing I know I’ve read the entire trilogy + the novels in 2 days and I no longer know what to do with myself!

Unfortunately, I don’t read all that many funny books, but one of the books that made me laugh out loud the most would have to be The Unhoneymooners!

Let’s go with The Perks of Being A Wallflower because it’s just that good!

Winter??? Because I didn’t want all my faves to die???

Persuasion? Define hate lol, it’s deifnitely underrated!

I’m not really a book puncher but, After? 50 Shades? Artemis by Andy Weir? Jane Eyre? The Heart of Darkness?I guess there were more contenders than I thought!

Look, it’s not the best romance in the world and it’s a bit insta-lovey but I’m a sucker for any and all Tarver and Lilac content I can get!

I tag two of my friends who are recently getting into or back into the Riordan-Verse!
Destiny @ Howling Libraries // Rebecca @ Bookishly Rebecca
DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE PJO/HOO CHARACTER?
ARE YOU EXCITED ABOU THE TV SHOW NEWS?

Aaah, Becky Riordan dropping those hints literally ENDED me! I was just talking about how sad I was going to be once the last Apollo book came out, and then she goes ahead and hints that there might be a new Percy centric book??
I adore this tag, and I haven’t read most of the books you mentioned, so yay! More recs! Waste of Space sounds so good! I also just found out The Other Side of the Sky earlier today. It sounds so good, and I love Amie Kaufman’s books!

I know! I’m literally so stressed!! Do you think a new Percy book would be a good thing? I’m torn between always wanting more Percy content + wanting the poor boy to be safe and away from a new prophecy!
It’s so good, isn’t it? May did such a good job! Haha, I highly recommend Waste of Space, it was so so good! I loved all the background stuff we got in that book! I love Meagan Spooner and Amie Kaufman’s collabs so I’m super hyped for The Other Side of The Sky!!

I was absolutely in fear of reaching the end of Winter. I don’t think I could have handled it if it ended in a bad way. Lol
