FEBRUARY WRAP UP! | #GraphicsReadathon

wrapupfeature1

Hi everyone! So, February is officially over, or it will be in a few hours! What a month, am I right??

I’ve officially started uni for the year and it’s already way too stressful also the weather has been nuts this month and apparently, wild weather sets my anxiety off like nobody’s business, who knew! I also started up work again this month and honestly, it’s been completely chaotic and I already can’t wait for school holidays so I can take a break from those kids because I just do not have that level of energy.

In terms of reading, this is probably the best month I’ve had in a really long time and I’m not gonna lie, it felt amazing! I was reading practically every day and it shows! In January I had a lot of screen time but February was 100% a reading month and I’m honestly super proud of everything I read because I found some new favourites and a lof other books I read also gave me some fun ideas for future content!

Ross Poldark (Poldark, #1) Captive Prince (Captive Prince, #1) Prince's Gambit by C.S. Pacat Kings Rising by C.S. Pacat The Summer Palace by C.S. Pacat The Adventures of Charls, the Veretian Cloth Merchant by C.S. Pacat Aphrodite Made Me Do It

  • Ross Poldark [30/01 – 01/02/20] – 3.75 ⭐ – The writing is actually so good???
  • Captive Prince [04/02] – 3 ⭐ – I have mixed feelings but I know how much Destiny loves this series so I’m going to give book 2 ago. Either way, this was absolutely brutal.
  • Prince’s Gambit [04/02] – 3.75 ⭐ – Holy cow, we love character and relationship development! Enemies to friends to lovers, bb!
  • Kings Rising [05/02] – 3.5 ⭐ – This was so stressful I had to take a few time outs while I was reading! πŸ˜‚
  • The Summer Palace [05/02] – 3.5 ⭐ – This basically just an epilogue ft. some smut but, this was also hella cute and such a fun story to read after finishing book 3. I just wish I didn’t have to pay 2 whole dollars to read it.
  • The Adventures of Charls, the Veretian Cloth Merchant [06/02] – 3 ⭐ – I wasn’t intending to read this but I heard that it takes place after the last short story so I thought I would pick it up. Again, not worth $2 but this features one of my favourite tropes and it was pretty fun, so I recommend it!
  • Aphrodite Made Me Do It [06//02] – 5 ⭐ -That hit hard, holy crap. This is a super short but powerful read and I can’t recommend it enough!

Heartstopper Volume One Heartstopper: Volume Two (Heartstopper, #2) Heartstopper Volume Three Truly Devious (Truly Devious, #1) The Vanishing Stair (Truly Devious, #2) Assassination Classroom, Vol. 03: Time for a Transfer Student Assassination Classroom, Vol. 04: Time to Face the Unbelievable

  • Heartstopper Vol 1 [06/02] – 4.5 ⭐ – Oh my god, I can’t believe I’ve been avoiding this because it wasn’t in colour. I’m such a snob, but I promise I’ve learnt my lesson because this is amazing! TW: Homophobia
  • Heartstopper Vol 2 [06/02] – 4 ⭐ – So cute!
  • Heartstopper Vol 3 [06/02] – 4.5 ⭐ – Oh my god, this is so cheesy and I am 100% on board with it!
  • Truly Devious [07/02] – 4 ⭐ – I actually really enjoyed this and I will definitely have a review coming sooner or later.
  • The Vanishing Stair [09/02] – 3.5 ⭐ – This book just solidified that I don’t care about David and that this series should be a duology.
  • Assassination Classroom Vol 3 [24 – 09/02] – 3 ⭐ – I am officially loving this series! I will definitely be continuing!
  • Assassination Classroom Vol 4 [09 – 10/02] – 3 ⭐ – This was all filler so kind of pointless but okay.

The Hand on the Wall (Truly Devious, #3) Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by J.K. Rowling Mooncakes Foolish Hearts by Emma Mills Mansfield Park The Castle of Otranto: A Gothic Story Archie Meets Batman '66

  • The Hand on The Wall [09 – 10/02] – 3.75 ⭐ – This was pretty good but I wish there had been more mystery in this “mystery” trilogy.
  • Harry Potter and The Philosopher Stone [11/10/19 – 11/02/20] – 3 ⭐ – Outside of nostalgia, I didn’t love this, but I am still going to continue in my re-read.
  • Mooncakes [12/02] – 3 ⭐ – I am sorry to say that this was not my kind of thang.
  • Foolish Hearts [09/01 – 14/02] – 4.5⭐ – This was SO SO good and I can’t wait to read more of Emma Mills’ books in the future!
  • Mansfield Park [29/12/19 – 17/02/20] – 2.5 ⭐ – I am sorry to say that this was too long and all the characters are too boring. I honestly didn’t care about any of the characters, which is something I’m not used to from Austen.
  • The Castle of Otranto [18 – 19/02]  – 1 ⭐ –  Oh my God, I long for the day I actually enjoy my assigned reading.
  • Archie Meets Batman ’66 [22/02] – 3 ⭐ – All this did was prove that I don’t care about the Archie characters

  • Arrietty Vol 1 [25/02] – 3 ⭐ –  This was alright and probably a good place for someone to start reading Manga, but I didn’t relaly love the story.
  • A Silent Voice Vol 1 [25/02] – 4 ⭐ – This was fantastic! I’ll deifnitly be moving onto volume 2 soon!

  1. I really need to read the 2nd and 3rd volumes of Heartstopper! I loved the first volume so much! It looks like you had such an awesome February! But starting school (and work) again is always stressful! I hope it ends up being a relaxing semester, and that enjoy the rest of your required reading!

And you’re definitely not alone in looking forward to vacation. I’m looking forward to spring break myself. Once the midterm madness starts in a week or two, I’ll probably even start down the counting down the days!
