Hey everyone, welcome back to my blog! Today I’m doing a January wrap up and it’s gonna be a long one so grab a drink and sit down while I go through my crazy first month of 2020!
For January, since I had the month off from school, I decided to give myself a month-long challenge, to watch a movie every day, because why not? I wanted to see how easily I could get bored of a particular genre/actor and if I would discover any new favourites along the way! I made a point to watch some of my favourite movies and genres as well as movies I hadn’t seen in years or hadn’t seen at all, as well as film completely outside of my wheelhouse!
You will also get to see my eternal shame at how disjointed my taste in movies is. I also asked people on Twitter for movie recs [here] and I tried to watch as many as I could throughout the month! Also, fun fact Ratatouille is the dish, not the rat. The more you know, hey?

Where did I get most of the movies from?
Interestingly, at the start of the month, most of the movies I watched came from the library. Towards the end of the month, more of the movies came from Netflix and Disney+.

And a MOVIE A DAY? Impressive! Seriously- wow.
But I will continue to beg you to watch robin Hood (it’s on Disney+ now) even tho I’m petrified to see your star rating (I love it to death)

I swear I kept going to watch it but then I got distracted and forgot! I am hoping to watch it in the next month or two though! I swear, it’s top priority!

This is SUCH a cool challenge! I definitely would not have the patience for it, but it’s amazing that you were able to watch all of these movies 😀 And some of my favorites as well – Spirited Away and Crazy Rich Asians are definitely ones that I love. I also watched Little Women in January and LOVED it. It’s been too long since I’ve seen Ratatouille 😂

Haha, I’ve recently realised that I have a pretty broad watchlist! I never realised this but I will pretty much watch any genre!
I love Spirited Away, Crazy Rich Asians and Little Women! All so good!

This is such a good challenge!! I love watching movies, and I definitely watch more movies than TV shows. I love seeing the classic 90’s rom coms that were sprinkled into your watch list. Also, it’s so impressive that you persevered even after a few 1-star movies. Do you think you’d ever do this challenge again?

I’m the same! I LOVE movies and am really not good at watching shows! Yeah, I’m a big fan of 90s movies, and I know I need to actually watch more of them!

I think I’ll probably do the challenge again in December because I read a lot less in December and it seems like the right time tbh. Do you think you’d ever do the challenge?
