Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog! This year I decided I wanted to branch out more and get to know other bloggers so I figured why not include everyone in that? I decided to start this series this year and my first interviewee is Elizabeth from Redgal Musings! I’ve known her for years now and to this date, I still love her and her book tastes, though they can be quite different to mine at times. Elizabeth is one of my favourite bloggers and I always enjoy her attitude, high spirits and love of Disney (also, omg look at her she’s so cute! πππ).
I loved getting to know Liz more through reading her answers here too and then immediately signed up to her newsletter. She’s such an inspiring person and always motivates me to be more creative and open to new expereriences & I can’t wait to see what the future holds for her!I hope you all enjoy getting to know her too!
Here are some of Elizabeth’s most recent blog posts if you’re curious to see what she writes about!
Iβm Elizabeth! People online like to call me Liz but Iβve always gone by Elizabeth? Itβs a weird thing that online folks call me Liz π

So, I live in the southern United States! I grew up in texas – people in the south call me a Texan, whereas anyone in Texas would instantly say Iβm not a Texan. Mainly because I hate country music and TX barbeque and republicans running the Texas house. However, Iβd die for Bluebonnets and Texas sunsets.
Anyway, Iβve been a reader for as long as I can remember. I spent my childhood reading biographies and Anne of Green Gables and then discovered YA in college. π I read pretty much everything now, except horror.
I started blogging my freshman year of college – it was a weird rambling space for me to talk about whatever. In junior year, I started focusing on books and bought my domain name. Now, I mainly focus on books and writing.
Since I graduated last spring, Iβve worked at Disney and now I work as a news producer. Which means I write everything that the anchors read on air. So, I write and produce the local news for a living.
When Iβm not frazzled over the news, I enjoy visiting local coffee shops, editing video for youtube, and writing my yet to be published novels.
Hmm, Iβm such an open book, so this is hard. Maybe, the fact that Iβve visited 36 US states?
Wow, this isnβt something Iβd thought about much! I suppose I do talk about book reviews the most – I make lots of lists of what Iβve read lately and book recommendations.
I think my style – the types of pictures I take as well as the experience I bring to my blogging. I talk a lot about my work – both when I was a college student and my current life as a news journalist. And I worked at Disney for a time, so now there’s lots of Disney references, haha!
And of course, I love taking pictures so I think my blog has a pretty strong sense of my aesthetic.
I definitely think my blog found itβs groove during my sophomore year of college! Part of that was I decided to read what I enjoy and actually talk about what i was reading. Before then, I wasnβt entirely sure what to talk about on my blog. But once I picked books, things just came together. I knew what I wanted to write about and began to look forward to planning blog posts.
I also really started following other book bloggers. Knowing that there were other people chatting about books inspired me and helped me stay focused on blogging about what I enjoyed.
You know, I used to. But I have so many other goals in my career and daily life, that making goals for my blog is just not something I focus on anymore.
My main bookish goals are to write and publish books, so thatβs one of the top three reasons I blog, along with enjoying the bookish community and hoping my blog pushes me to be more creative as a writer and reader.
Finding your own voice is so important! And it isnβt just on your blog – but in real life too. Be yourself, online, on social media, in your job. Wear yellow raincoats and high heels. Carry a stack of books with you everywhere. Dance in the rain. Do what you enjoy because your space is the world is just that – YOUR space.
Wherever you are, remember to register to vote! π Yes, I say this because the US is holding elections this year but people all over the world have the chance to vote, so please register to vote and vote in your elections because climate change touches us all. π
I also have a monthly newletter sort of thing I you can sign up for! It’s more personal and contemplative compared to my blog, here’s that link: https://mailchi.mp/b95267b9b675/elizabethhunternews
