- The Mummy
Y’all. If you’re new to my blog or you’ve never read any of the posts in this series before, Hi! The Mummy is my favourite movie of all time and I love it with my entire heart and soul! I love the old fashioned, mystery/adventure movies with a charming but totally dorky main character type of movies, especially when they involve that trope where A is all tough and charming but then they meet B and then they’re all πππ, you know what I mean??? This movie is amazing and means A LOT to me, and I honestly can’t understand why so many people haven’t seen it!
- The Matrix
This post is all about underrated movies so you might be wondering how there could possibly be a Keanu Reeves movie on here, especially one as well-known as The Matrix. But, how many of you have actually seen The Matrix? It’s one of my favourite movies but I’ve only seen it twice and I actually only watched it for the first time late last year which is kind of wild to me.
Anywayyy, this movie is fantastic and is what officially started me on my love of Keanu Reeves and I really think the plot is amazing, so you should definitely all watch this!
- The Age of Adeline
This movie is such a brilliant, slow classic romance and I love it. I love action movies as much as the next person who loves action movies, but I also really love me a slow movie too.Β This features Blake Lively and the guy from that other movie with Lily James about Potatoes that I also liked. So basically, this is a total escapist’s romance dream because it’s about 2 pretty people falling in love and defeating the odds because of true love and also Harrison Ford is there.
- Journey To The Center of The Earth
Okay, so I’m going to be honest here this is the story I’ve seen the most adaptations of and this is also THAT story to me. It’s something that’s always in the back of my mind and a story that I’ve loved since before I was in double digits. But, I’m going to talk about this version because it was the first one I watched and it doesn’t have The Rock in it, it has Brendan Fraser whom I love (legit he’s one of my top 3 favourite actors). Basically, this is an amazing story and I love every version of this so you should definitely all check it out (especially the original 1959 version because GERTRUDE!)
- Brother Bear
Okay, so I know that I’ve talked about Brother Bear before on my blog but I’m a rebel so I’m gonna talk about it again. This is legit one of my favourite movies of all time and it quite possibly has the best soundtrack of all time and I need you all to watch it. It’s an amazing movie about brotherhood and family ft. some beautiful songs and it means a lot to me and I really don’t understand why more people haven’t seen this. Also, it’s short so you officially have no excuses, go watch it now, I’ll wait.
- Christopher Robin
Oh my god, speaking of slow movies, this is a wonderful slow movie! It features some of my favourite elements and I’m SO here for it! It’s slow, it has that nostalgia factor, it’s absolutely relatable (Eeyore, anyone?) & at its core, it’s about family and growing up and listen, I’m so here for all of this shit. Please, please at least give this a go because I think we all know that we need more Winnie The Pooh in our lives.
I love the Mummy, it’s my favorite and I’ve watched it so many times ahhh! I also love Brother Bear, it’s such an underrated Disney movie!

The Mummy is so underrated and I’m sad about it! It’s one of my favourites to watch in any mood and I wish more people would give it a go! I’m glad you love it too!
Brother Bear deserves better and there are literal memes built on the dialogue, so I wish people would respect the original material and watch it! It’s not even that long, there’s no excuse!

Christopher Robin is probably one of my favourite Disney films at the moment! I’ve always been a fan of Winnie the Pooh thanks to Disney and the original books, but this film has completely stolen my heart. It reminds us that we can still have the time to let our imaginations play, and we don’t have to let go of our childhood desires. I don’t know how many times I’ve already watched it but I feel the need to watch it again.

Christopher Robin is one of the few movies out there that I can watch and just relax too! It’s a very calm movie and now that we’re talking about it, I definitely need to go and watch it again! I was always a Winnie The Pooh fan too, so watching this movie always makes my heart happy!

oh YES underrated movies! 1) Robin Hood (disney- y’know, the one with the fox?) 2) spider-man 3 (it’s popular, yes, but everyone seems to hate it? At least that I’ve seen. TOBEY MAGUIRE’S SPIDERMAN IS UNDERRATED, OKAY? 3) THE. LAST. FREAKIN’. JEDI. WHY IS IT HATED? WHY DOES EVERYONE HATE ROSE? I MEAN, IT’S NOT THE BEST, BUT WE COULD’VE HAD WORSE. HAVE YOU HEARD GEORGE LUCAS’S IDEAS FOR THE SEQUELS? THEY WERE 3000x WORSE!
anyway I also agree with youuu! (at least the ones I’ve watched. And also, any unpopular movie with Harrison Ford is automatically underrated)

Oh my God, yes! I was just going off the movies I physically have on my shelves at home, but I know I’ve got a copy in the family room so I’ll have to dig it up!
Emperor’s New Groove is one of my absolute favourite movies in life! I’ve actually been meaning to make Kronk’s spinach puffs, I should do that asap! ππ
I’ve never seen Kronk’s New Groove – is that a full-length movie or a short?

OOoooh I hate spinach (cause they’re leaves. why would you willingly eat leaves? I’m not a giraffe) but the SPINACH PUFFS SOUND SO GOOD, I’M NOT GONNA LIE. I’M IMAGINING CHEESE BISCUITS AND SPINACH AND AHHH DELICIOUS.
and Kronk’s new groove is a FULL. LENGTH. MOVIE. I think it’s still on Netflix and it is the bESSSSSTTTTTTTTTTTTT

Oooh yes, I actually haven’t seen Robin Hood because I wasn’t really raised on Disney so I’m still catching up, but it is on my Watchlist But, maybe once I get Disney+ I’ll be able to watch it!
You know what? You’re not wrong! I definitely watched Spidey 3 too young so it terrified me for a long time but, now going back and watching the trilogy McGuire is one of my favourite Spideys! I love his portrayal of Spider-Man (but not Peter, if that makes sense) and I also really love that they actually gave Venom ago because I know he’s a very intimidating character to use! Spidey 2 is definitely my favourite, but I think Spidey 3 definitely deserves more credit than it gets just because it doesn’t work as well or look as good as the movies we get now, it’s a bit hypocritical if you ask me. π€·ββοΈπ€·ββοΈ
Oh my god, Gurrl, you speak my language! Let’s talk Star Wars! I’m currently re-watching the original trilogy! I’ve only seen The Last Jedi once because I went through a Star Wars slump (it was horrible) but I think we just have to accept that the movie itself wasn’t bad because hello Laura Dern was in it, so it’s actually impossible for the movie to have been bad. But, it was badly written and the director was an actual mess. That being said, I think that it got the most backlash from people who love the og trilogy and also happen to be white men because let’s face it, they don’t like change.
I think in the back of my mind I’ve heard Geroge Lucas’ idea for the prequels so I know I hate it, and I know I’m going to regret typing this but, refresh my memory?
Yes, Age of Adeline is timeless and such a nice movie to relax to or have in the background!
ps. have you seen The Mummy? I think you’d like it!

OOH YASS DISNEY+ I’M EXCITED. (and yes, PLEASE watch it, it’s my FAVORITE movie ever I’m not even joking)
and I first watched spiderman when I was ten (I was soooo late to fandoms ughh. Except indiana jones, xD) AND YES, THAT DOES MAKE SENSE. (tho I prefer his portrayal of Peter Parker mainly because he’s just so bad that it’s good. (especially in sm3) Tom Holland is *obviously* my fave (cause how can you not absolutely love him?) but Tobey is definitely up there (sorry not sorry Andrew)
The Last Jedi was a bit of a mess, yeah (understatement) BUT the reyloooooooooooOOoOOOooOoooOoooO. The prequels are STILL worse than the last jedi, tbh. (excluding allllllll Ewan Mcgregor scenes)
I don’t remember exactly, but it was going to be some type of weird documentary crap where there’s people exploring the force and it sounded like weird Magic School Bus inside Arnold type of thing?? It was gonna be veeerry scientific and didn’t sound like the sci fi fantasy like star wars is supposed to be.
I’ll need to watch AoA someday!!!!!!
ps no, I haven’t seen the mummy, but I’ll add it to my list. 3000%
