Today I’m coming at you with an update of how my reading has been going for the last couple of weeks, which is to say that it hasn’t, so I’m doing this in the hopes that talking about books I’m excited about will motivate me to actually pick up a book that isn’t for Uni.

Two Dark Reigns & Harry Potter
So, my two current reads are Two Dark Reigns and The Philosopher’s Stone. I’m hoping to finish the Three Dark Crowns series off this month or next so hopefully, I’ll be able to really dive into this book soon since I’ve only read the prologue so far.
I’m also slowly (like, very slowly) reading the first HP. I wan tot be able to do a really in-depth re-read and focus on different aspects of the series like foreshadowing, the Weasleys, Draco and other little things that I see pop up as I go.

Clockwork Prince & The Play
I just recently finished reading The Play by Elle Kennedy and honestly, I have a lot of thoughts but also I just don’t wanna talk about it at all??? I’ll probably have a review up at some point, but honestly, I just feel kind of ‘eh’ about it.
I also recently read Clockwork Prince and honestly, I’m conflicted. I have A ALOT of opinions, especially on Will & Jessamine. And, I want you all to give me the benefit of the doubt because I haven’t read book 3 yet and I don’t think my opinions are very popular. My review should be up in a couple of days!

Capturing The Devil & City of Lost Souls
I recently binge read the first books in the Stalking Jack The Ripper series and I even started Capturing The Devil but then I never continued it. So, I’m hoping to get to it in the next couple of weeks. I’m also planning on continuing reading the Shadowhunter books and City of Lost Souls is next on the list, I don’t have high hopes but hopefully, I won’t 1 star it like I dd the previous book.

Some of her books are definitely better than others! Honestly, it might be worth skipping her 1st series altogether and just reading summaries!
Yes, I’m doing a re-read of the series, but I’m taking my time since I usually rush through the books! I completely agree that the first book holds a different kind of magic than the others!
