Hey guys, welcome back to my blog! Today I’m coming at you with an update of how my reading has been going over the past week! I have been sick lately and school is really starting to heat up, so I haven’t been reading as much, but I’m hoping that’s all about to change! 🀞🀞🀞

The Opal Deception (Artemis Fowl, Book 4)

Artemis Fowl & The Opal Deception

As I’m writing this post I’m roughly 70ish% of the way through and hoping to have it finished by tonight. I’m really enjoying being back in this world and I’m loving how inventive the plots of these books are! I also really appreciate how Eoin Colfer never talks down to the reader (this is middle-grade). Just in general, this series is a total blast, and I can’t wait to continue the series, especially because I think there’s a new book coming out early next year???

You Must Not Miss

You Must Not MissΒ  Β |Β  β˜…β˜…β˜…β˜†β˜†

I actually only just finished reading this yesterday and I’ve gotta tell you, folks, I have no idea what I just read. I think that if you like Stranger Things, Coraline or the Wayward Children series/Narnia you are going to LOVE this, but I recommend reading the blurb first!!

I basically never read the blurb because 99.9% of the time I don’t need to, but this was that 0.01% where I really REALLY should have! I went into this thinking it was going to be a hard-hitting contemporary, and it certainly started like one and kept up those themes, but then it became a low-fantasy/magical realism kind of deal, which I just found really confusing, mostly because I was not expecting it! Honestly, this was not the kind of book that I would ever really pick up, so if I had have known this wasn’t a straight-contemporary I probably would never have read it. But, If you like Coraline and the idea of opening a door into a new world I really think you should pick this up!

Fix Her Up (Hot & Hammered, #1)

Fix Her Up

I have no idea what this is about except I think there’s a clown and I’m guessing there’s a Tradie in the mix because of the ladder on the cover? All I know is that I love the cover and Rebecca really enjoyed this so I’m hoping to get this read over the weekend, or by next Wednesday, at the latest!

  1. I’m in the process of re-reading all the Artemis Fowl books at the moment and you’re right, they are such a blast. I’m currently on The Eternity Code and I can’t wait until I get the chance to read it again because I’ve had to put it aside for the readathon I’m doing. I also think The Fowl Twins is out in November so there’s only a couple of months to wait!!

  2. I really want to re-read the Artemis Fowl series before the movie comes out! I never finished the series (I think I stopped after the fourth book??), but it’s a relief to hear that it’s not actually complete!
