WWW Wednesday // 21.08.2019

Hey guys, welcome back to my blog! Today Iโ€™m coming at you with an update of how my reading has been going for the last couple of weeks, which is to say that it hasnโ€™t, so Iโ€™m doing this in the hopes that talking about books Iโ€™m excited about will motivate me to actually pick up a book that isnโ€™t for Uni.

WWW Wednesday is hosted byย Taking On a World of Wordsย and you can find my other WWW Wednesday posts and find my progressย here.

The Great Gatsby

The Great Gatsby

I’m just going to say it. I don’t like this book. This is definitely the best book I’ve got on my course list but, I’m really not digging it which is such a bummer because I really thought I would enjoy this as it’s such a popular book, in general!1whatdidyourecentlyfinish_wwwwednesday

As You Like It (No Fear Shakespeare)

As You Like It

I’ve read a few of Shakespeare’s plays in the past but I’ve never read As You Like It. Honestly, I wasn’t a big fan because I have no idea what really happened in it – I am hoping to gain some more clarity when we talk about it in class though!

You Must Not Miss

You Must Not Miss

I have no idea what this book is about but I have a copy out of from the library and I also have the audiobook so I don’t really know how I should go about reading this one! BUT I know I’ve been waiting for a copy for months, so I am excited to finally pick this up!

  2. I didn’t like The Great Gatsby either. I feel like the writing is really dry and none of the characters are likeable. I love the setting though.

I’m currently reading A Conjuring of Light and it’s amazing! I have to stop myself several times because the tension is just THAT high!

    1. I could enjoy Gatsby more than some of my other assigned readings but I didn’t love it tbh. The setting was very good!

Ooh, is that book 2 or 3? I still have to read book 1 but I am looking forward to it!
