Hey guys, welcome back to my blog! Today I’m coming at you with an update of how my reading has been going for the last couple of weeks, which is to say that it hasn’t, so I’m doing this in the hopes that talking about books I’m excited about will motivate me to actually pick up a book that isn’t for Uni.

Heart of Darkness
I can say wholeheartedly that I hate this book and I cannot wait to be done reading it. If I weren’t reading this for class I doubt I would have even gotten past page 1 to be honest with you.
City of Fallen Angels
I don’t want to be a downer in this post, but this book was also really bad! My review will be up early next month so look out for it!

Mrs Dalloway + New Moon
Ahh finally some books I don’t have opinions on yet! I haven’t read Mrs Dalloway yet so I have no idea what I’m going to think of it, but I’m hoping I don’t absolutely detest it. I also hope to buddy read New Moon with Rebecca this month and I’m super excited about it because I’m pretty sure I’ve only read it once and that was a looong time ago!

I’m currently reading The Bookish Life of Nina Hill and it’s hilarious! It’s the perfect vacation read! I’m so glad I picked it up on a whim! I hope you read some great books next week and that you manage to finish Heart of Darkness painlessly!

City of Fallen Angels is my least favorite Shadowhunter book😬 and I’m currently reading Stepsister by Jennifer Donnelly!

I’m not quite done with it yet but so far I’m liking it! It’s a very different twist on the tale lol!

I’m sorry you’re hating your assigned read so much! The only thing I’ve ever read of Conrad’s was his short story ‘The Secret Sharer’, and I’m not 100% sure I even finished it. His writing was hard for me to follow!

It was not a fun experience but luckily I passed the class so I don’t ever have to touch those books again!
Conrad’s book was an actual racist mess and I was not about it!

Oh no, I wish you all the luck for good future reading! Hopefully your New Moon BR is a fun little getaway from the previous books (I honestly don’t even remember when I read that book 😬 so long ago!)
I just finished The Reader and Girls with Sharp Sticks and they were both 5 star reads! Sending some good reading mojo your way.
