Hey guys, welcome back to my blog! Today I’m coming at you with an update of how my reading has been going for the last couple of weeks, which is to say that it hasn’t, so I’m doing this in the hopes that talking about books I’m excited about will motivate me to actually pick up a book that isn’t for Uni.

I haven’t been reading as much as I’d hoped to lately, but I have finally started reading again and I’m back to reading Cassandra Clare books so you can expect some more reviews soon! I’m currently reading book 3 in The Mortal Instruments series, City of Glass and I’m hoping to have it finished soon so I can try and get up to date with all of CC’s Shadowhunter books by the end of the year/early next! 🤞🤞🤞
I am also currently reading The Great Gatsby against my will because of school. I’m trying to get this read before I actually have to go back to school so I can have some space to breathe during the term but I’m slaking because this book is dull af.

I literally just finished reading City of Ashes earlier today and I won’t lie, this was better than I thought it would be but I kind of preferred City of Bones. Honestly, there was just a bit too much angst for my tastes.
I also recently read Twilight and it was a whole ride. God damn.

I might be getting a bit ahead of myself here with all the Shadowhunter books but, I really want to try my hardest to catch up as well as I can by the end of the year, and I really do enjoy writing my reviews for these books so hopefully, I’ll get to Clockwork Angel soon! [Also, I’m reading all the books in publication order]
And, I would also like to hopefully continue my re-read of the Twilight series with New Moon throughout the year. I’m thinking about just doing one book a month and annotating my copies (well, technically they’re my mum’s copies because I refuse to buy my own) since I also annotated my (mum’s) copy of Twilight last month. I wasn’t a big fan of Twilight but I am super curious about the rest f the series so I’m hopefully going to read the rest of the books and watch the movies as I go. We’ll see how this turns out!
Enjoy your reading!

You’re making me want to reread Twilight! It’s been so long since I’ve reread a classic YA series!
And I didn’t love The Great Gatsby either. But the edition you have is beautiful! 😍

Oh my god noooo! I’m re-reading the series and about to start New Moon soon! Twilight is a wild ride so if you pick it up I hope you get something out of it, even if you just think Bella is funny! 💕
Thank you, I have the Alma edition! I am only roughly halfway through Gatsby and it’s so boring!
