Hey everyone! Today I’m coming at you with a fun post talking about all the books on hold at my local library at the moment and honestly, I just wanted to write a blog post and these are the books I wanted to talk about. I’m on a super intense romance kick right now and these are a bunch of the books I’ve been recommended, but if you guys have any great recommendations for adult romances, I’d really appreciate it!
The Kiss Quotient

The Bride Test

- wow Helen Hoang is really doing all that for us
- big focus on consent and family which I mean, who doesn’t want to read about both of those things?
The Hating Game
- I know nothing about this one other than there is angst and it’s very very good?
- The only thing I’m actually worried about is that apparently, the love interest can be kind of horrible to the mc and I am not about that life AT ALL
Red, White & Royal Blue
- bisexual & gay mcs
- Also, I think one of the characters is biracial and had ADHD and I haven’t read a book with a character with ADHD in a whole so it’s time I did something about that.

- honestly, I just love good banter and cute romances so this kind of sounds completely perfect???
The Flat Share
- 2019 release
- This just sounds completely perfect and like it was written for me and I really can’t wait to get my hands on a copy.
- aannnnd I haven’t explained what it’s about – it’s basically about two people who live in the same apartment and share a bed but have never met. One works nights and the other works days so they have lived together without living together and then they start exchanging post-it note messages and it’s cute af and then i’m assuming they start getting the fuzzies and romance happens. I’m so hyped for this you guys.
Gingerbread [mp3 sound recording]
- This is the only book I have on hold that isn’t a romance but, it sounds completely fantastic so I don’t mind all that much.
- Also, apparently the writing is amazing so I’m super excited for this one.

I’m gonna say Gingerbread, but only because I would love to know what you think! I’ve heard that its more like magical realism, but I’m not sure.

I would choose Red, White & Royal Blue but because I’ve seen everyone go crazy over that book so I think you could enjoy it, I’m dying to read it too 😍❤️

I feel like I’m going to give a super biased opinion since I’ve already recommended half of these to you! But I’d say start with The Kiss Quotient or Red, White, & Royal Blue because those are both my favorites! And I actually didn’t love The Hating Game, so I’m curious to hear what you think of it!

I think my hold of The Kiss Quotient has just arrived at the library so hopefully, I’ll read it in the next week or two! I’m also super excited to read Red, White & Royal Blue! I think my copy is arriving soon, so hopefully, it will live up to the hype!
Oh no! I was planning on reading The Hating Game on Monday so, hopefully, I’ll either love or hate it? I have heard that the love interest can be really harsh/rude?? And, I am not about that life! I am still hoping that I’ll at least enjoy the banter and/or angst but I really hate mean characters so, I guess we’ll have to wait and see!

As much as I loved The Kiss Quotient, everything else kind of went out the window when I saw RW&RB in your list. 😍😂 It’s SOOOO GOOOOOOD!

I’ve read all of these except for the last one, and honestly don’t think you can go wrong with any of them! The romances are all some of my faves of all time!

I’d definitely go with The Kiss Quotient first—I LOVED that book! I also really enjoyed Red, White and Royal Blue, though!
