Hey guys, welcome back to my blog! Today I’m coming at you with all the books on my April & May tbrs! I’ve had a pretty good reading year so far, though my reading did slow down a little bit in March. I have tried to control my April & May tbr but they are still pretty ambitious! π
THE O.W.L.S. MAGIC READATHON (APRIL)
[you can find the original readathon video here]
For this readathon, I’ve chosen to become a Hogwarts Professor which means I have to pass 7 OWLS in total! The readathon also runs from April 1st to April 30th so I have all month to read at least 7 books to fit all the prompts for the career I’ve chosen!
- A subject I want to teach – Ancient Runes – Winter
- Defence Against The Dark Arts – Radio Silence
- 5 Additional Subjects of Your Choice:
01 History of Magic – Wide Sargasso Sea
02 Muggle Studies – I Was Born For This
03 Potions – The Throne of Fire
04 Charms – Jane Eyre
05 Transfiguration – Shadow of The Fox
OTHER BOOKS ON MY APRIL TBR
- And I Darken
- Four Dead Queens
- Beartown
- Frankenstein
- Hunger
- Slaughterhouse 5
In May my goal is to read a whole bunch of books with LGBTQIA+ representation so I can write a bunch of positive blog posts for Pride month. I’d really appreciate some recommendations from you guys if you wouldn’t mind giving a shout out to some of your faves!
- The Foxhole Court
- Girls Made of Snow and Glass
- Caraval
- Legendary
- Finale
- We Are The Ants
- Let’s Talk About Love
- A Darker Shade of Magic
- The Picture of Dorian Gray
You have some of my favourites on your TBR – Frankenstein, A Darker Shade of Magic, and Winter. I actually want to re-read all three at some point as it has been a while since I first read them. In April and May I just want to make a dent in my TBR and read those anticipated books I never got around to reading last year, particularly if they’re series finales.

I’m so glad, I’m really excited about the books on my tbr! I’ve never read Frankenstein of ASDOM so I’m glad that they’re some of your faves!
I hope you enjoy reading those books, reading anticipated releases is so much fun, also 2018 was a great year for books so I hope you have a great few months!

I’m so happy to finally be reading some of Alice Oseman’s books! Have you read any of her other books?

I haven’t, but I feel like I’ve got to, since I loved Radio Silence so much

I’m so impressed with your ability to plan TBRs so far in advance! I have a vague idea of some of the books I want to read, but nothing definite. Although, since I’m going away for spring break I guess my TBR will be a bit limited to whatever I bring with me! And I’m super excited to see Radio Silence and I Was Born for This on your TBR! I’ve recently become obsessed with Alice Oseman. I hope you enjoy all the books on your TBR!

Haha, I’ve had my tbrs up to May/June planned since January. Lol, I’m a tad neurotic when it comes to planning my books and blog.
Do you have a kindle? You could always just get the Kindle app on your phone/tablet and read that way! Either way, I hope you enjoy your Spring break!
I have never read anything by Alice Oseman which is ridiculous so I’m super excited to finally have her books on my tbr this month!
I have high hopes for the next few months, but I’m so excited to read all the books! π
Happy reading, Malka! β€β€

I really want to do my OWLs TBR that’s my plan for tonight π I haven’t looked into it yet but it’s exciting!
I loved Winter and Radio Silence, hope you enjoy them. I really want to read Shadow of the Fox, it sounds amazing. Hunger was enlightening, even though I thought some chapters were a bit negative in my opinion, still gave it 4.5 stars because it’s so well written and raw. There are some books I didn’t enjoy that much on your list but I don’t want to taint them for you, interested to see what you think of them though!

The OWLS is so exciting, I hope you love the experience!
Shadow of The Fox looks really interesting and different from what I usually pick up, so I’m excited about it!
I’d love to know which books you didn’t enjoy because I like knowing that not everyone loves every book!
