MY JANUARY TBR // 13 books! πŸ˜²πŸ€―πŸ˜…

tbrfeature

Hey guys, welcome to January 2019! How did we get here? Where did 2018 go? But also thank god it’s over!

So today because Blogmas is finally over (don’t get me wrong I loved it but I don’t think I’ll ever do it again) I thought I might do something a bit different for my blog, but also something a bit more simplistic – a monthly tbr! I don’t think I’ll do these every month but because it’s the beginning of the year and because my tbr is so ambitious I thought I would share it with you guys!

For 2019 my Goodreads challenge is going to be 100 and I also have a bunch of monthly challenges for 2019 so I’d really like to get a head start on those!

THE LATE-A-THON

Bridge of Clay  The Psychology of Time Travel  A Closed and Common Orbit (Wayfarers, #2)  The Rules of Backyard Croquet

Bridge of Clay, The Psychology of Time Travel, A Closed and Common Orbit, Rules of Backyard Croquet

Destiny over @ HowlingLibraries is hosting the Late-A-Thon in January and I would really like to start the year off on a good note so I’m really hoping to participate in the readathon and knock some review copies off my stack! All of these books are pretty significantly different but, I’m excited for them all none the less!

MY 2019 CHALLENGES

Inkheart (Inkworld, #1)   The Hobbit   Artemis Fowl (Artemis Fowl, #1)   The Cuckoo's Calling (Cormoran Strike, #1)   The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet (Wayfarers, #1)

Inkheart, The Hobbit, Artemis Fowl, The Cuckoos Calling, The Long Way To A Small Angry Planet

This is probably the category I’m most excited for because these are all books I’ve been meaning to read or re-read for years! I’ve owned Inkheart since the year the film came out which was in 2009 which means it’s been almost full 10 years that I’ve owned but never read it! But, I really enjoy the film so I’d like to finally get to this one!

I’ve also never read The Hobbit or The Long Way To A Small Angry Planet so I’d really like to get to them because I’ve heard such good things about them and because I’d love to get ahead of my Blogging/Reading challenges for the years!

Artemis Fowl & Cuckoo’s Calling are both re-reading because I’d like t re-read before I watch the movie/shows!

OTHERS

Record of a Spaceborn Few (Wayfarers, #3)  If We Were Villains  And Every Morning the Way Home Gets Longer and Longer  Every Heart a Doorway (Wayward Children, #1)

Record of A Spaceborn Few, If We Were Villains, And every morning the way home gets longer and longer, Every Heart A Doorway

My last four reads are ones that don’t count for any readathons or challenges, I’d just really love to get around to them! I added Record of A Spaceborn Few because I added the first and second books in the trilogy so why not try and read book 3 too? I would also love to get to If We Were Villains because I know Malanie loves it and I love Malanie so of course, I have to read it.

I also added And Every Morning the Way Home Gets Longer and Longer to my tbr because it sounds amazing and it’s super short and I’ve never read anything by the author before???

I would also love to re-read Every Heart A Doorway and optimistically re-read the other books in the series so I can dive into In An Absent Dream asap!

      1. Oh no, sorry you DNFed Bridge of Clay! I’ve not heard super good things about that so far. 😦 Okay, love!! I’ll have to see how things are going at work and if I get the chance I’ll pick it up, but go ahead and start whenever because I’m not 100% sureβ€”work is kicking my butt more than I expected πŸ˜‚
