Hey guys, today I’m coming at you with the five books I wish I had read this year! I read so many more books this year than I thought I would, but there are still so many books that I didn’t get to!

MY PLAIN JANE
Of all the books on this list, I am the most frustrated with myself for not having read this one. I have the book, I even pre-ordered it to make sure I would get it asap, and along with Rebecca, I wrote a book tag based around this tag, The Lady Janies Book Tag!
I am sure I will read this next year, but honestly, I think my reading got away from me this year – I just randomly picked up completely new books which is of course, great but that means I missed out on a lot of the books on my physical, and Goodreads tbr. That being said, I am really hoping to get to this after Christmas because I know I’ll have a bit of time off school, and if not Rebecca will probably kill me virtually.
THE PSYCHOLOGY OF TIME TRAVEL
I think I actually have an e-arc of this one because I was so excited to get to this one, but somehow I still haven’t gotten to it??? This might sound bad, but honestly, I might just get the audiobook and then write my review for you guys.
GIRL MADE OF STARS
I want to read this book so badly, but my library doesn’t have a copy yet. I’m hoping they’ll get one sometime next year. I don’t see myself buying this one because I don’t know if I’ll enjoy this one because of the main subject matter – that being said, I am really interested in this book and I would really love to read this asap.
BLANCA & ROJA
I read Wild Beauty earlier this year and I really loved it so I’ve been trying to get myself a copy of this but my library doesn’t have it yet and I don’t think I’ve seen it in store either, though I also can’t remember the last time I actually stepped foot in a bookstore.
Either way, I will get to this eventually and I am really excited to get back into Anna-Marie McLemore’s writing and to explore more Magical Realism.
THE SMELL OF OTHER PEOPLE’S HOUSES
I’m pretty sure Rebecca loves this book and I actually bought my mum a copy for her birthday last year so why haven’t I read it yet? Probably just because I keep forgetting it exists. I am hoping to read it sooner than later because the title is fantastic and the book sounds really interesting even though I don’t think I could actually describe the plot to you.

You’re spot-on with me loving The Smell of Other People’s Houses. I think I might reread it this month to get me in the holiday season. It’s not really a Christmas book but it has some awesome winter vibes!
