Peter Pan

PETER PAN

I love Peter Pan. Well not Peter Pan, himself (dude’s a twit) but, the world of Pan – I love Neverland and the Lost Boys and the whole idea of there being this little maniac obsessed with fighting a one-handed pirate. Because doesn’t that sound ridiculous and completely fun?

I will say that this isn’t my favourite book in the world and I actually find it pretty lacking whenever I read it, but Neverland and the endless remakes make up for that!

A Wrinkle in Time

A WRINKLE IN TIME

I don’t know what it is about this book but I love it too. I love how this reminds me of my childhood even though I never read it as a kid and I love how much it promotes creativity and science and family love. It doesn’t feature a main character who resents her younger brother for existing, instead, they have a great sibling relationship and oh, also they travel through space and I love this book so so much please read it!

Anne of Green Gables (Anne of Green Gables #1)

ANNE OF GREEN GABLES

Anne of Green Gables is the ultimate middle-grade classic for kids who want to be creative and not get in trouble for it! Anne is unapologetically herself in this book – she gets insecure but also has an amazing imagination with her head in the clouds most of the time. She is also really smart and so much fun – I think she’s a fantastic role model for little children and pretty much anyone else – she’s just a great example of how creativity and being yourself is a good thing! This is a wonderfully uplifting book and I really believe that everyone should read this at least once in their life!

The Giver (The Giver, #1)

THE GIVER

How many copies of this book do I own I hear you totally not asking, and to that I say, I don’t know. Realistically I probably only own 3 or 4 copies and I actually own multiple copies of the first four books on this list so whoops but also I love them and it doesn’t bother me so hopefully it doesn’t bother you?

The Giver is one of my favourite books of all time and I will forever not understand why people don’t like it. It’s for sure a future classic (not everyone sees it as one yet) and honestly reading it just makes me happy!

Pride and Prejudice

PRIDE AND PREJUDICE

Pride and Prejudice is of course on the list! This is such a guilty pleasure read for me because it’s so angsty and terrible! The characters are all ridiculous and the plot is kind of nuts and honestly, it’s so much fun to read! Also, I love it because every time I read it I have a different opinion of Mr Darcy – I never just think he’s an alright guy either, he’s a d*ck or he’s the best man on Earth – honestly it’s a bit ridiculous!

    1. Thank you, I’m so glad you enjoy it!

Pride and Prejudice is just so much fun, I can’t believe that so many people refuse to read it because it’s a “girl book” or just because it’s a classic.

Anne of Green Gables is also a really fun classic and also really fun on audio, if you can get that option (the audible is great, but any audiobook is pretty good for this book). Peter Pan is pretty good but honestly, I think I love the remakes a bit better just because they actually go into the lore a bit more.

    1. P&P is great but I also love Persuasion and I think it deserves much more hype than it gets!
I’ve never read either of those 3 but I plan to in the future so I’m glad you like them!
