bookThe Final Empire (Mistborn, #1)Β Β Skulduggery Pleasant (Skulduggery Pleasant, #1)Β Β Three Dark Crowns (Three Dark Crowns, #1)Β Β Caraval (Caraval, #1)Β Β The Golden Door (The Three Doors Trilogy, #1)

The Final Empire – Brandon Sanderson

I love this book (but not the author, he is problematic af) and for some reason, I have only ever read it once. This is such a fantastically intricate world full of a brilliant magic system and a corrupt Government. Basically, what this book has going for it is the fantastic world building and magic system, as well as how this book is basically a result of the whole idea of “What if the bad guy won?”

It’s amazing and definitely worth a read!

Skulduggery Pleasant – Derek Landy

This book is so much fun, and so is the rest of the series for that matter. If you love sarcasm and solving supernatural crimes then this is the perfect book for you. This is such a fun (but long) series, great for all ages and I really wish more people would read it!

Three Dark Crowns – Kendare Blake

I love these books but they give me some of the worst headaches imaginable. But, like, it’s worth it???

  • Phenomenal characters with A+++ development.
  • Great scenery descriptions
  • Dark AF
  • Not black and white, there are morally grey characters
  • Consequences for actions
  • Politics!
  • Fantasy – elemental magic, naturalist magic, poisons
  • These characters know what they’re about and will take none of your sh*t

What more could you possibly want?

Caraval – Stephanie Garber

I love me some romantical drama + some beautiful writing + every plot twist possible.

I love this book and will forever be re-reading it because I swear I never stop thinking about the crazy sh*t that goes down in these stories.

The Golden Door – Emily Rodda

Will I ever stop recommending these books? I sure hope not.

This trilogy is brilliant and unique and completely fantastic and I really wish more people would read it. These books are fantastic and so much fun and when everything is summed up in book 3 everything just makes so much sense and honestly, it just makes me so happy every time I read it.
