RAVENCLAW RECS! // I recommend books based off your Hogwarts house

Hey Guys! Today I’m coming at you with a new recommendations post. Last week I recommended some books based off the Hogwarts house, Hufflepuff, so I thought I would continue with that theme and make a series out of it. So, today I am recommending books based off the Ravenclaw house!

You can find my Hufflepuff recommendations here!Β and remember to click on the covers to go to the Goodreads pages!

A DISCOVERY OF WITCHES

So, technically I’m already cheating so sorry about that but, I have read the first 420 pages (it’s 700 pages okay give me a break) of the book. So, I pretty much have a good grasp of this book by now.

Yes, this book is aΒ  paranormal romance (and a good one at that) but it’s like a better and more grown-up version of Twilight, so if you’re looking for some nostalgia without the creepy sleep watching, this might be the book for you!!

So, why am I recommending this in a Ravenclaw recommendations post? Well, because the main character, Diana is actually a Historian. She’s really intelligent and because it’s all in her pov, you get to really see her perspective on the paper she is currently writing which I found REALLY INTERESTING. Honestly, if I didn’t have such a low interest in history, Diana would really push me into wanting to become a historian.

THE GUERNSEY LITERARY & POTATO PEEL PIE SOCIETY

I mean, she travels all the way to meet a bunch of strangers on an island because she’s curious about them and then she writes a book about them. If that isn’t the most Ravenclaw thing then I don’t know what it. SHe goes because she’s curious and she wants to learn, so I’m 90% sure Juliet the main character is a Ravenclaw at heart, and that she would definitely love the library at Hogwarts.

MOON GIRL & DEVIL DINOSAUR

I figured I should recommend at least one comic for you guys and honestly, this is the perfect series! This comic series revolves around a genius 12-year-old girl and her partner in crime – the Devil Dinosaur! Lunella Lafayette is an absolute genius and the ultimate Ravenclaw! Lunella is a really smart kid and absolutely brilliant at science so if you have any kind of interest in superhero comics or science, this is the comic for you (also, DINOSAURS!).

CARAVAL

I don’t think the characters in this trilogy are necessary Ravenclaws (Legend might be though, or even a Slytherin) but, this book is more or a mystery. There are constant plot twists and always new plot elements being introduced throughout each book which makes you really think about what’s happening while you read. These books really make you pay attention and try to figure out what’s happening, and it’s really fun!

WARCROSS

I love this book, it’s so so much fun! The mc is a really cool hacker and she is definitely good at what she does! If you like virtual reality/ video games then this is the book for you. There is also a mystery element to this book, but it’s got more of a video game element to it, though I think book 2 will focus more on the mystery aspect from book 1.

STALKING JACK THE RIPPER

I mean, you could probably find a way to apply any kind of a mystery to this post, but I think this is the perfect recommendation for this one. Yes, this is a mystery so it has that Ravenclaw intelligence aspect to it because you are trying to figure out the mystery. But, I’ve included this for another reason – the two main characters Audrey Rose Wadsworth (the actual love of my life) & Thomas Wadsworth are both total Ravenclaws. They are both really intelligent Morticians. They solve crimes and rip open bodies at the same time and I love them both very much.

    1. They are both great books! Do you feel like a Ravenclaw? I’ve always been a Hufflepuff but I think realistically I am more of a Slytherpuff overall because I also have some traits of a Slytherin.
