HOW TO: COME UP WITH BLOGGING IDEAS!

Hey guys! Today I’m coming at you with a new blog post, and today I’ focusing on how I come up with blogging ideas! But, I’m not gonna be like, write down your ideas because that’s not my intention for this post. Today I want to actually brainstorm some ideas with you guys for how to actually come up with new ideas for things to write about on your blogger.

WHERE TO BEGIN???

Research! (aka. get your stalk on!)

Read a bunch of blog posts to try and find some inspiration for a blog post of your own. Or, you could always do a tag and maybe you’ll get some inspiration from one of the questions there??? You’ll notice how the keyword I’m using here is inspiration!

Or, you could always try branching out and talking about something different on your blog. Try discussing the latest movie you enjoyed, or why you didn’t like it compared to other reviewers who did.

But, I do understand that not everyone likes to mish and mash what they talk about on their blog, so if you want to stick to books you could also try these:

Booktube (Bookish side of YouTube). This is a great place to find other types of bookish content and maybe you;l even get some fun ideas you can give a blogging twist to. Watching some bookish videos might even spark a discussion or you might end up creating your own book tag!

My last piece of advice, for this section, is to do what you love! If your blog focuses on reading then read! If you focus on film then watch a movie! It can be hard to find inspiration or motivation if you’re not actively doing what you love so crack open that spine or grab your remote because this is technically research, right???

WHAT NEXT?

Next, you should brainstorm! Write down a bunch of ideas and either do some tags on your own blog and get inspiration from that or, you should try writing down some ideas and then putting your own twist on them!

  • If you love bookshelf tours then put your own twist on that idea!
If you love recommendations make a fun series out of it on your bog!
If you love recommendations based on other medias, you should try that it yourself!
Why not write some discussions?? – They don’t have to be about controversial topics!
Interview a fellow blogger or Co-write a blog post!
Talk about why you started your blog – maybe you’ll find some nostalgic motivation!
    Do a tag!
Ask a fellow blogger to do a guest post on your blog
Participate in a bookish meme (T5W, WWW Wednesday…etc.)
Recommend some of your favourite bloggers!

NOW WRITE!

The only thing you can do now is write! You’ve researched, you’ve brainstormed and now you need to stir up that blogging mojo! You need to find a few topics you’re passionate about and then write about them until your fingers bleed (not literally but you get what I mean!). You might even find that you end up scheduling a few posts (which is definitely a great feeling!)

  1. This is such a great post, filled with brilliant ideas ❀ Whenever I'm feeling uninspired, the community, current trends and chats, goodreads and lists of books, but also my old posts, helps me and makes my mind think and try to find new ideas. Generally, that works out quite well and I always try and have some ideas "in stock" to use for later on πŸ™‚ Brainstorming and thinking of ideas and of how to put them out there and try to make them happen in a blog post is the most complicated part of it all, but it feels so rewarding when we write something we end up loving πŸ˜€
    Lovely post! xx
