Hey guys, today I’m coming at you with music recommendations?? I know, who have I become??
I actually love listening to music and it’s a big part of who I am but for some reason I rarely (never) ever talk about it on here, so I thought for today I would finally step it up and change that.
ALBUMS
DEMI LOVATO, SAM SMITH, KEITH URBAN, ADELE
I’m not going to go super into depth about the individual albums but, these are pretty much the top albums I listen to the most.
These are pretty much my top 4 favourite artists. I am not a big collector of physical CDs but with these artits, I have at least 2 or more albums of theirs around the house. They’re each a little different but I love them all for their different sound and lyric types.
My favourites would have to be Adele and Sam Smith purely because I listen t them the most. But, Keith Urban and Demi Lovato are close runner-ups since these are some of my most listened to albums!
MOVIE SOUNDTRACKS
DEADPOOL, TARZAN, BROTHER BEAR, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY
I know that movie tracks aren’t for everyone and that some others just prefer the scores, but I’m pretty sure I own more movie soundtracks than any other album.
I just love them. If they don’t have lyrics they can be really great to fall asleep to or write to, ad they do have lyrics it’s like watching the whole movie all over again.
I especially love the more modern ones like Love, Simon or Black Panther because God knows I never remember any of the songs on the radio so if I hear it in a movie I actually remember the song.
But, I actually love animated soundtracks too. The most played song on my phone right now is actually Strangers Like Me from the Tarzan soundtrack. My two favourite soundtracks definitely change a lot, I do listen re-listen to the Brother Bear track and the Guardians soundtracks a lot. I don’t know if I have a real all-time favourite though since I watch so many movies and the soundtracks are ALWAYS SO GOOD!
MUSICALS
HAMILTON, WAITRESS, ALADDIN
I love all those and if you haven’t listened to them then WHY???
I’ll admit that I’ve only seen one of these musicals (Aladdin and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT) but the other two both sound amazing. I mean, everyone knows Hamilton so that’s a no-brainer. But, Waitress is one of the more under the radar soundtracks that definitely needs more rep! It’s definitely more hard-hitting (TW: ABuse, Unhealthy relationships) but it just sounds so so good. Also, the whole song list was written by Sara Bareilles. She also has a whole album where she sings all the songs (shown above) and I cannot recommend it enough!

I never listen to movie soundtracks, but they probably would be good to listen to while blogging. I LOVE Demi Lovato and I’ve been listening to some of her older music recently.
Lately, I’ve been listening to Dan+Shay, Hot Chelle Rae and Ariana Grande. I feel like Ariana is everywhere right now!

I’ve actually never heard of Dan + Shay so I’ll have to check them out! Ariana Grande is actually pretty good tbh, I think she’s great and also really professional!

Yes! They’re a country duo and their newest album is amazing. They have 2 others and they’re just as good.
Surprisingly, I used to not like Ariana Grande for some reason but now I love her ❤

Awesome post! Have you ever heard the Dear Evan Hansen musical soundtrack? I love the singer Lauv and lately my friends have been trying to get me into P!ATD (we’ll see how that goes XD)

I love Adele! I’ve been meaning to try out Demi Lovato since I’m on a bit of a pop kick. I’ve also been meaning to listen to the Hamilton soundtrack since everyone loves it so much but I’m worried I won’t get it because I haven’t seen the actual show??

Demi Lovato has such a powerful voice and I really love her voice!
The Hamilton soundtrack is really fantastic and it’s definitely okay to listen to without having seen the show. I live in Australia so there’s basically no chance of me seeing it, but I still love the music!
You can always try looking at Hamilton: The Revolution for pictures from the show if you’re looking for more context!
