  1. Lumberjanes is yes, yes, yes, yes. As is Nimona! Nimona is also only by Noelle Stevenson so it has all the best bits of the Lumberjanes and isn’t an ongoing seasons so it has a nice ending to it.

I also love Saga (although that’s for a more mature audience), Rat Queens, Beyond: The Queer Science Fictionand Fantasy Comic Anthology, and Moonshot: The Indigenous Comics Collection!

    1. I love Lumberjanes and I really enjoyed Nimona when I read it a few years ago!
I have been wanting to try out Saga since so many people love it but, I flipped through vol 1 in my comic store and wasn’t a massive fan of the artwork. One of my friends has the first volume though so I might borrow it off her. All your recs are amazing! I did know about Beyond: The Queer Science Fiction and Fantasy Comic Anthology but, I’ve never been able to find it, online or instore. Where did you find it?

    1. You should definitely give graphic novels a go, they’re a pleasure to read! Ahh, you should definitely try out the PJO graphic novels, I haven’t read them all but I have enjoyed the ones I’ve gotten to! I hope you enjoy!

  2. Ahh this is a great post! I’d recommend Giant Days, which is probably my favorite comic ever, and The Wicked and the Divine, super beautiful art and a really amazing premise. Descender is also great, and the art is so unique. Sweet Tooth is also AMAZING, and it’s only 6 volumes long I think and has a really well rounded story arc. And finally, I’ve been loving Fence by C.S. Pacat. It’s about a fencing team. Super interesting 😊

    1. Thank you so much! 😍😍 I actually have volume 1 on my shelves so I will definitely get to it soon, hopefully before Comic Book Day! I have heard about The Wicked and the Divine but had only heard bad reviews so I’m glad to hear that you enjoy it!
Descender sounds really interesting and I don’t really read sci-fi comics outside of Marvel so that should be a nice change for me! Thank you for the recommendation, now I’m really excited! Ooh, I’ve heard of Fence, for some weird reason I thought it was a novel but, now I’m super excited for it! ❀️❀️❀️ Thank you so much for the recommendations!

    1. No problem! I recommend Lumberjanes or AMulet if you’re looking for a beginner/ mg series. But, if you want to ease into gns with standalones I recommend Anya’s Ghost & Explorer. I hope that helps, and gns are typically quite expensive so if you have a local library you should try and check them ou there!

  3. Explorer looks quite good… I’ve been reading more graphic novels lately. I’m going to read Saga soon too, which is so popular it’s not funny. I’ll have to look for Explorer too though. If you don’t mind gory with a ton of characters then Tokyo Ghoul:re is a great series. I didn’t read the original first but dove into the spin off.

    1. It is a lot of fun! It’s a graphic novel of short stories, each one following a box.
I hope you enjoy Saga, it sounds really interesting, but I’m not big on the art style so I don’t know if I’ll ever pick it up.
I might get my younger brother to take a look at Tokyo Ghoul:re, he might enjoy it and if he does I’ll give it a shot!
