THE LEGEND OF TARZAN

I still haven’t read the original source material or watched the original Disney film. I don’t know why I love this movie so much exactly, but I feel like it has something to do with Margo Robbie being in the film. I am also a big fan of Alexander Skarsgรฅrd and his interpretation of the character. Also, something that really hit me while watching this film is that Tarzan doesn’t or can’t completely flatten out and open his hand because duh he’s been living like a Gorilla for his whole life.

STARDUST

Because who doesn’t love this movie? I have always loved this movie and I honestly don’t see that changing anytime soon. It’s fun, it’s different and it’s completely different to most of the other movies I tend to watch.

BROTHER BEAR

This was one of my favourite movies growing up and then for some reason, I just didn’t watch it for 10 or so years. But, a few days ago I ended up rewatching it and absolutely fell in love with the movie all over again. I found upon rewatching it that I still knew most of the dialogue and that I still remembered the entire soundtrack. It was such a fun experience and Iย hope I’ll be able to re-explore old favourites in the feature!

ATLANTIS: THE LOST EMPIRE

I love this movie. It is amazing and I don’t foresee myself ever not loving this movie. This is just so up my alley, Milo Thatch is just my ultimate mc. He is the perfect Ravenclaw, but I think we could also argue that he is a Hufflepuff; a RavenPuff if you will. He is such a fantastic and soft main character, he just cares so much about other people and it’s lovely to see. But he isn’t the stereotypicalย smart character either, in that he clearly shows his emotions which I really appreciate since I feel like often the smarter characters are just shown as rigid mean people.

THE AGE OF ADALINE

This is my movie, the new Beauty and The Beast. I watch this a lot when I’m feeling down I know that this is a pretty simple and straightforward movie but I love it all the same. I really enjoy Blake Lively as a person and find that I also really enjoy her acting so that’s a plus. This is a really fun romance film and now that I’m talking about it I feel like rewatching it again. Whoops.

HONOURABLE MENTIONS

Don’t worry I can still recite the entire movie, dialogue and soundtrack by heart, I just don’t feel the need to watch this film on repeat every day anymore.

BLACK PANTHER

This movie is a step in the right direction and I need more movies like this in the superhero genre. This movie is fantastic and I would die for Shuri.

LOVE, SIMON

Okay, so I know this hasn’t come out yet but we all know I’m going to love it and weย all know I’m going to cry.

    1. I completely agree – Atlantis is definitely underrated and more people really should watch it! Yes, BB used to be one of my favourites and then I just stopped watching it and decided I hated it. God knows why I’m so glad I rewatched it after all those years and had my love for the film re-ignited!

  1. i need to watch the Alexander Skarsgรฅrd movie bc i’ve been tragically devoted to tarzan for so long!!!!!!!! and Alexander Skarsgรฅrd is a perfect human being.
and MY BLAKE!!!!! I’ve always said blake lively is the most gorgeous female celebrity EVER and she’s so classy and i adored the age of adaline, it was so romantic and the mother-daughter dynamic was the sweetest thing I’ve ever witnessed. *beings to melt*

    1. It’s such a good movie and you should definitely give it a whirl – from what I’ve gathered, it’s a bit different to the og film, but I loved it nonetheless! Alexander Skarsgรฅrd is perfect in the role!
Yes, I’m actually watching Age of Adeline as I comment back to you, haha! Yes, Blake Lively is ๐Ÿ‘Œ ๐Ÿ‘Œ ๐Ÿ‘Œ, she’s so talented and smart and I love her in all her roles! Exactly, I love the mother-daughter relationship, it’s a wonderful highlight for the film!

  2. Haha I completely agree with you on Love, Simon, I haven’t even seen it yet but I love it (so I really hope it lives up to expectations!) I also absolutely love both of the Beauty and the Beast films too and Black Panther was amazing! Some great picks! ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. I know, I recently watched one of the newly released scenes between Simon and his dad and no joke it ended in me sobbing and having to leave the room. It was ridiculous and I am going to be an absolute mess in the cinema. It better live up to expectation because I am hyped to breaking point!
Black Panther was phenomenal and I really hope everyone goes to see it, even none superhero fans – it’s too good to miss!

    1. Stardust & Adeline are both phenomenal films, they’re just too good! Thank you so much for the recommendation, I’m surprised I’ve never heard about it – it looks amazing and I tend to love pretty much anything Domhnall Gleeson is in. I’ll definitely check it out the next time I’m in need of a good cry!

  3. OKAY I’M SORT OF IN SHOCK THAT YOU HAVEN’T WATCHED THE DISNEY TARZAN MOVIE????!?!?!?
I did love the remake though, it was SO good!
Black Panther was also amazing, one of my favourite films I’ve seen recently and I can’t wait for Love, Simon.
I have a secret unlimited screening on the 13th March for a film (basically you don’t know what you are seeing until the movie actually starts) so I’m holding hope for it to be Love, Simon so fingers crossed! ๐Ÿ˜€

    1. I know *hides in shame* I really have been meaning to watch it but never really had the chance to get to it! I swear I’ll watch it!
Black Panther and Love, Simon are going to be some of the best films of 2018!
I’ll have my fingers crossed for you! I actually had the chance to see Love, Simon early last month but passed it up as my friend needed a buddy to see a concert with her and I didn’t want to her going alone at night! I’m lowkey disappointed at the missed opportunity but my friend had a great night, so I’d stay it was still worth it!

  4. I’m actually a huge fan of the old disney Tarzan movies yet I haven’t seen the live action one. A friend of mine told me that it wasn’t really that good. But I’m considering watching it now! ๐Ÿ˜€

    1. Oh! That’s so interesting! I’ll be honest, I haven’t really heard anything about the film, but I also haven’t been seeking out reviews. Maybe I just love the film so much because I haven’t seen or read the original materials? Either way, I really hope you watch it and form your own opinion on it!
